Thank you .. you've sparked something in me that I wasn't ever confident enough to believe until, possibly, now. I wrote a book about healing and carefully removed all personal detail from it. Perhaps telling my story IS my purpose for now? Thanx. BTW, no one ever stopped the kids from coming up to Mom except one Mother who apologized and grabbed her kid's hand to take her away until she realized that she was the only one who was upset by her child's sense of wonder.0January 2014

Hey I saw that you were preparing for ski season. I hope that you have a wonderful time. I am so sorry that you have had so many friends pass in the last few weeks. I am glad that you are there to help the husband with the arrangements, I am sure he appreciates that so much. Take care and have a blast skiing! God bless.0November 2013

Dear Constance, thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I do think that a therapist might help me although I know there's no such thing as a magic pill to take all this bad stuff away. But it's a start. I've said in my previous replies that just by knowing I'm not alone in this has helped me greatly and I hope that I can be supportive, too! Take care of you. God bless! Melanomamama, hi, I just wanted you to know I got and read your delightful book. We have a lot in common as far as our disease process. I had a mole removed in 1985, stage 3. 15 years later, I had a huge mass taken out of my bowel. I have had many surgeries, and 4 clinical trials, two of which involved IL-2. I sure understand about IL-2. what a drug. I looked like a red beach ball and ended up in ICU with low b/p. I just wanted you to know I LOVED your book. I love to tent camp too, (my husband does most of the work), and I thought I would never go again either. I am leaving to tent camp this Thursday, and your book will go with me. You are a real inspiration!!!!0July 2013

I see you're from Portland--and you haven't caught up with the rest of us sandal-and-sox people in the beautiful Pacific Northwest? When/how else could we wear sandals, anyway, LOL.0August 2013

Thank you for sharing...this is indeed a journey through a valley of shadows.Any advice for a caregiver caring for a stage 4 melanoma love. We are to be wed in September. We found out on Dec 26th that multiple organs have tumors including the brain and a couple lymph nodes. We tried IL2 once..didn't go well. Capillary leak syndrome happened to the tumors in his lungs and he ended up in the CIU on a ventilator. Now we are trying Zelboraf. He has a unique mutation. One that our speaclist has never seen in melanoma before. Don't even know if Z will work. Trying everyday to remain positive for him and for me...0March 2013
