As a 7+ year survivor of Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Appendix, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Most important is that your spouse/partner be seen and treated by an appendix cancer expert, and not just by someone who plans to treat it as a variant of colon cancer.0October 2014

Hello and welcome. I am currently living with Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Appendix Mets and have been since 2004. I recieve care from Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, IL. Its just a hop skip and jump from where you are:) A great place, if for nothing other than a second opinion, which I think everyone should get. They provide an exceptional level of care. Anyhow, I agree with abrub regarding the kind of care you need. When I first had this cancer dx many of the treatments currently widely accepted today as the norm, were looked upon as extremely radical. So abrub may have much more in common with the care your spouse/partner should be getting today. I hope you take advantage of the kindness and experience of everyone on this site, you picked a good landing spot!0October 2014
