Maybe you can explain, other than for doctor convenience, why one must go for scans with an empty stomach?

Hello Sue, I was just diagnosed with Stage IV TNBC which metastasized to the brain. I had surgery to remove the brain tumor and 3 tx of radiation to kill remaining cells. They are recommending Chemo and I wondered which Chemo's work?

I'm feeling particularly depressed today about both the cancer (though I'm not in physical pain) and impending move to a new residence.

I just want you to know you are such an inspiration! I have been through breast cancer treatment once, yet I can not even begin to imagine all you've been through! And yet you have such a wonderful, positive and supportive attitude! All I can say is Thank you for you...and God bless you!!'

I am at Roosvelt on 59th and 10th and couldn't be happier with my team and the staff there. We are lucky to be in one of the best cities.

We spoke before.
I had blood clot in my lung last week pulmonary embolism.
I don't know if you remember me.
I need to find friends with breast cancer and survivors in Baltimore / MD.
I don't drive, need support and meet people.
Just diagnosed in one month and have no focus to go on line and search anything.
My husband and my 2 sons are not helping at all. The take me to appointment as needed and that's it.
I feel very lonely.
You may can help me because I'm not familiar with this site and I don't have any focus to go search anything.

Hi Sue, we have plans with family right after my 3:00 appt. We could be in the city by 2:00. If you want we could meet for a little bit at that time. If that's good for you,do you know of a convenient place ? I don't know that area of the city,but I was thinking maybe the cafeteria,or any other place you think might work. Let me know.

Thanks very much, SueRae1. I appreciate it. The whole thing was kind of crazy. It was the worst pain I've had in my life. I've never had pain like that before - and I hope I never have pain like that again!

OMG,SueRae . What are the odds of that? I'm glad you didn't have a severe case. BTW, I have an appt. Thurs. the 7th with my Dr. at Columbia. He'll tell me what my next step is. Still working on Sloan.

no I wont be seeing the DR right away . I have my appointment for the MRI results on Tuesday the 29th . so yeah ,I will be wondering the results for a couple of days

Thanks for the info; it helps a lot. He just finished round 2 (a cocktail of 3 drugs) and it does seem to have a cumulative affect. Take care of yourself!
