Hey Jodi....Are you doing anything to heal your body and build up your immune system?
Check out this site below AND his face book page. I have some ideas at my Journey and Profile Page.
http://www.chrisbeatcancer.com/
There is a wonderful new book to check out called RADICAL REMISSION....by Kelly Turner PhD. Hope you don't mind me suggesting these alternate things to TRY but it sounds like you need extra help.
Use every tool you can. Our immune system was designed to handle this problem and maybe it just needs some tweaking and extra support. WE need to part of the TEAM..
Good Luck!

I am not sure how to reply to posts, but you have had about the same surgery I plan on. I believe that mine will not involve removing muscle as recovery is as quick as 3 weeks.
Must cancer was caught very early and my decision is to remove both breast and all breast tissue - or as much as the surgeon can remove. Does that mean I won't be part of this group? I am having trouble finding my place in the world. I feel that I am in the eye of a tornado and all I know is been spun away out of my control. I feel wrong being upset, I have caught it early and I am not going through all the tests and treatments. I just feel so out of place and very tired.0October 2013 -
I see you live in NY - so do I. I live in north Manhattan and am being treated at Columbia Presbyterian -Radiation Oncology team there is super, I hope yours is too. The nurses were very helpful and proactive.0November 2013

I have to learn to navigate this site! I don't know how to respond to comments! I get lucky but most of the time I don't have a clue!!!
Thank you. that is what I was feeling, embarrassed that I am having it relatively easy that I would be whining when I should be praising. I like this sight and will be here. I will explain how going when you should and not putting it off can save a lot of grief. I must admit I put my check ups off my months (2 times a year exams) but thank God I didn't just not go at all. Now I am losing breasts but I will live to see my grandsons get older. I am a blessed person. Thank you for making me feel right about being here and sharing.0October 2013 -
Welcome to the site. I think that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need to sound off or vent from anger. We are all here to listen and help, if we can, because at some point and time in each of our lives we have been in your situation. Please don't be afraid to ask questions either. No question on this site is silly or dumb. We all have questions we would like other opinions on or answers to. There are so many nice people here that it has helped me get through my fears I had when I was DX'd with DCIS. Good luck in the future.0October 2013

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
