Sorry to read about you sister & husband having an auto accident!
Hope they'll be ok!0January 2015 -
Thank you Rick1970 for your kind words. My dad was very much at peace with his life when this picture was taken and I find comfort in knowing that he is now living peacefully with the Lord. As I said at his memorial service, "Even though this is the saddest day of my life, I know it is the happiest day of his - because he is living cancer free and pain free and rejoicing with the Lord." But I do still miss him terribly. Best of luck with you and your journey. Stay positive and give your worries to God. I will keep you in my prayers.0July 2014

Hi Rick,
My name is Jennifer and I read through your profile last night. I am sorry to hear about your wife. It sounds like you are stepping through this journey with her, side by side. I am praying for you and your family.
My mother was diagnosed with PC in April and we are waiting for chemo treatments to start next Thursday. I've been doing a lot of research on her chemo cocktail of FOLFIRINOX. I understand that all side effects are different for different people but I am wondering if you could share more of your experiences. I know that it is not going to be a walk in the park, but I feel if I am more prepared for what she will go through, I will be a better help. Please tell me all that you are willing, the good and the bad.
I am definitely going to follow your lead and track all of her side effects, etc. I am a project manager, so I am familiar with the benefits of recording everything.
I also read your post about Minnelide. Have you had any further experience with it?
Thank you for all of your time. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care,
Jennifer0May 2014 -

Husband just finished 6 months of Folforinox on 3/17. Strength is returning, activity level increasing, appetite good. Complaining of muscle spasm in upper back? Hopefully just pulled muscle.... Revisit for f/u scans on 4/18.0April 2014

Thank you Rick, I will ask for the ondansetron, as the prochlorperazine made her more nauseous, and scared to eat anything.0January 2014

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/pancreatic-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site.
