    Hi Lorla,
I have to get a stent put in my ureter on Tues because the tumor is surrounding it and shutting it off. Just wondered what to expect. Did you go home the same day? Any info you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

I can't find the email he sent me. All my id's are in the wallet. If I don't find it I will in trouble. Since getting cancer I try not to let things stress me out. I tried to get rid of all negative things in my life that included some family and friends.

I have a problem. I looked all day for my wallet. It has my drivers
License and all my id's and credit cards. It has to be in the house somewhere. Sometimes with chemo brain I put things
safely away and then forget where. So if we can postpone tomorrow's meeting I would appreciate it . Let my know please that you received this message.

Loria I also was given the med Fosamax to treat osteoporosis. It was after I had both cancers Now I had 2/3 of the esophagus and 1/3 of the stomach removed. I had the dosage that you take one pill a week. The first week I had to be helped out of church because I was doubling over in pain. In about three days I was feeling OK so I figured that it was the stomach flu, but the next week I didn't make it to church. I was convinced that cancer had come back. The next week could barely make it through the scans but I was feeling better when I went for routine check. I noticed a piece of paper the pharmacist had put in the box with the pills. It said NOT INDICATED for persons with problems of the esophagus When the Dr. walked in the room the first words out of his mouth were "I'm pulling you off Fosamax" My PCP had emailed him to pull the xxx drug. He told me that Medicare required my PCP to prescribe generic Fosamax first before anything else could be prescribed.
You are fortunate that you are being watched for esophageal cancer. To sooth your stomach drink peppermint or ginger tea. I am sure if you do get esophageal cancer it would be caught early and be very treatable
I am hoping you don't get it.

Lorla; Thank you for posting and helping others.
I was wondering if you are still doing chemo and how you did with the bracytherapy. My sister is being treated for stage iv endometrial. Not sure if it's the same as yours? She's done chemo ip,iv, and 3 mo. later needs more treatment -chemo, radiation and brachytherapy. Tough going. Sending love and blessings your way.

Do not despair your cancer not always comes back or any other cancer is 100% always coming back. You can go to the amarican cancer web site and get information and join discussion groups wiith women with the same diagnosis. You have to be proactive with your treatment. Jacksonville has a Mayo clinic a major cancer center, get a second opinion. I went all the way to Texas Md Anderson to get a second opinion and very glad I did so. God be with you. Hugs.

    Hi from Sebring, Florida...

This is just MY opinion BUT I feel that if we don't TRY and reverse the process that caused our cells to become cancerous it keeps happening. I opted NOT to take chemo or radiation BUT even if you do IT HAS NO effect on WHY we got this in the first place. Our Killer T Cells KNOW How to defeat this problem and probably NEED a BOOST....So I'm on Raw Foods, Juicing and Supplements. Check out the book THE CHINA STUDY and this amazing site below AND HIS face book page. Good Luck!!

Hi Lorla. Welcome to What Next. I was diagnosed with stage IV B endometrial cancer in July 2012. And I also had an allergic reaction, but it was to the Taxol, not the Carboplatin -- that was fun and exciting! There are lots of great people here. If you have any questions, please use the question tab near the top of the page -- that way the entire network will have easy access & you'll get a quicker response. I'm glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that led you here. Wishing you all the best.
