A bar of bath soap works great for my feet and legs. I use dove and the stronger the fragrance the better it works. Everyone laughs and it doesn't work for everyone. My sister questioned my mind but I heard her tell someone the other day, to use a bar of soap. I keep a bar at the foot of my bed and if one gets started, I lay my foot or leg right on the cramp and it goes!!!0April 2015

Thank you for the feedback on my question. Are there any steps you've taken to keep your weight down that have been successful for you, even short term? Trying to give my readers a wide range of options to help them.0March 2015

Hi you summed it up exactly what I feel about Facebook. I'm glad whatnext is here for us in that sense. I feel like here is sanity and understanding. I don't feel left out or forgotten. Had a "friend" as you know "dismiss " me from life like I never existed. Not sure how much longer the intensity of that dismissing will continue but feel it when on fb out of the circle as well. Anyway thank you for your post and your example of living with cancer . Living each day as well as can and always taking time for us here. I've been so honored to have been the recipient of your responses.0February 2015

Hi
He goes back to the doctors in two weeks. His lump is still there, not bigger, maybe a little smaller. I'm trying so hard not to obsess on it. Thanks for checking in0February 2015 -
I did not think you were intruding, the poster said to message her in private and I just said I did not know how. Still don't.0February 2015

It is so scary to have a stage 4 cancer and NO symptoms! His lump is more on his neck, kinda flat. I keep checking his collar bone. I think I'm driving him crazy. I'm glad you are a fighter!0February 2015

Thanks for your response. Did you have any other symptoms aside from the knot in your collar bone. His is tiny on his right side, kinda in the lower middle of his neck. I don't think it's bacterial, so I'm getting my hopes up for the antibiotics to work. He had a chest x ray last september and blood work.I just can't stop googling. How is your treatment going? Thanks again for responding!0February 2015

Get your lab work done-- ask your doctor- Vitamin B 12 shows if you have pernicious anemia. Vitamin D is part of your energy level and immune system. Your doctor should be talking to you about it. They weren't doing my vitamin D. I asked for my D level- the hematology oncologist ran the lab. It was low- barely out of range. I was taking 500 mg a day. He told me to double the dose. My next lab had pretty high vitamin D. I know the B12 works, because I'm staying in mid-range. I'm not having a deficiency.
Cancer patients fight fatigue- and part of the fatigue is caused by values of B12 and D. They are part of our energy providing tools.0February 2015 -

Dear LiveWithCancer;
I am worried because my sister didn't feel well enough to go to treatment. Did this ever happen to you? She's stage iv, endometrial and now doing chemo and radiation. I am blessed to have you and others support me. Sending blessings your way.0January 2015 -
How were you diagnosed? Symptoms? My oncologist/hematologist is closely monitoring my lungs which have developed several nodules in both L/R, upper and lower... All still fall in the " too small to be cancer category" BUT one did double in size on my last CAT scan (12/2014) The nodule in question is now currently 5 mm & so I'm terrified it's lung cancer... I follow up again early March 2015. Hope & best wishes & thx for sharing.0January 2015

As welderdan suggests our stories are all as different as they are the same.
A year ago on January 15, I had 22 teeth and four previous implants extracted, additionally I had extensive re-contouring of the lower gum & bone performed and two implants placed in the front region of the lower jaw. This work was completed under local anesthetic over a 6 1/2 hour "dental assault" which caused me to ask if the oral surgeon was a Medieval torturer in a previous life LOL.
As in Greg's case I had several teeth breaking off and generally self destructing (with the kind assist of 35 radiation treatments). Also, like Greg, I did not have HBO treatments. The oral surgeon and prosthodontist waited nine months before fitting dentures. Initially, I had a difficulty time with the lowers due to a projection that was cutting into my gums. I have had two adjustments and after some "learning" I am becoming habituated to my new "moon teeth" (they come out at night) and I can now actually chew again. It seems to take some getting used to but so far I like them better than the broken teeth, gaps, and pain associated with a crumbling of my teeth. I should also point out that long before the cancer treatments (30+ years) ALL of my teeth had been restored with either root canals or implants. You might say that I am no stranger to the dental chair...
I hope this helps you in some way if you have any additional questions please ask via this forum and I will answer to the best of my ability.
By best to you & yours,

Thank you for your kind answer. I do recognize the emotional undertones of my question and feel horribly guilty to have dwelt on such a superficial physical issue, when I see that I should be celebrating survival when many cannot.0January 2015

...61 is not to old to start most anything...follow your heart. Just the journey may be fulfilling much less your destination. Grant writing is a talent that many can't develop and gien you did it for so long, you must have had good results. I depended on grant writers quite a bit years ago. Maybe there is something new you can study and combine with your accountingwriting & perception skills that will be perfect for you.0January 2015
