Thank you for your comment on my question. We have tried similar methods, but hearing it from somebody else helped to add merit to my thought process. I'll definitely sit him down tonight and try it yet again. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback on my question about sleep problems. I do agree that being a night owl or an early riser seems to be a life-long pattern which is really difficult to change.

I used to take my hounds on a 7-15 mile hike once or twice a week, until the doctors got their hands on me. My Achilles tendons were ruined by cholesterol prevention med. peed black too. My dog walker is ramping up my hounds. I keep telling him to take slow days- let them just smell the roses. make them- heel, sit- down, stand. Sit while leashed, Sit when go out the door, and the door is locked. Sit or down before you cross a street. See another dog-Heel- or sit. No, he treats them like stupid pit bulls, german shepherds- cocker spaniels. He runs them for about 3-6 miles, and they're ramping up. They weigh a 100 each- he doesn't realize a hard jerk- and SIT- not a yell or begging. They are pulling him with a slow choke. They are pulling him like a big Union Pacific 3 stack steam engine pulled loads of wheat across the Great Plains. Because he's anxious- they decide to protect him. I took them to the vet for shots and license- one at a time, because he started describing that out of the house, they are ramping up. I went out of the house- and the ninny didn't want to sit. I said, sit, and jerked him down. I made him sit. We went to the truck. Sit- and jerked him down. he got in. I got him out- sit- dogs and cats all over the place- he started up and I jerked him down. We went and checked in. He remembered to pay attention to me. The vet was shaking with some of the big dogs and their nitwit owners. Today, I took Missy--She's larger. It was empty. but she didn't want to sit. She did.

I think that I need to take them one at a time to place, where people have dogs on leashes. And just sit on a park bench , and make my hound sit. Go for a little stroll, and make them behave. Then take both. I don't know how you feel about dogs. Mine sleep with me, they are my babies, but they are still 100 lb animals that will rip up a calf killing coyote. There's a reason for a choke chain. My grandson just wants to use a soft collar.

I had my son drive me and the dogs- because I'm so moody-The vet opens for shots at 2:30, and that's my prime nap time till 6 PM.

Thank you for your answer to my question about angry red breast. Can you tell me what brand of compression garment you like? I'm overwhelmed with choices. Best thoughts to you. paintmare

Hi, the first request for KEBOHS was denied, because United said that her treatment is on-going-not finished. She's worried about the second request for authorization to have the scan.

We have some different side effects when we have nose treatment. My team is surprised that I can can breath out of my nose, with my mouth shut and not make funny noises. i don't make any noise. KEBOH and I have constant problems with our ears, eustachian tubes, eardrums, sinuses, and noses. Our ENTs are our best friends. Because of this, United probably is trying to deny a scan on the technicality of her receiving on-going care. I'm improving quite a bit. I think that KEBOH was improving, but now there is this possibility of more trouble.

My medical journey took a different path-and that might be the only reason I'm not having trouble getting scans. I will add that my team wanted a scan in Dec, but it was a few days before 12 months was over, so it was denied. Now, my oncology radiologist is being very careful to wait 10 days after 12 months are up before he orders a scan for the new year. He ordered a scan in late Dec for Jan. but the board disapproved. I had to re-schedule all of my appts. and he didn't take it well. at least for me, we think that we know what is going on.

Thank you for your kind words. It is so strange when the horrifying become commonplace.
He is on so much medication. We are two caregivers, myself and my husbands best friend. We are working 12 hours shifts as he can't be left alone.
Hospice is supposed to arrange for sitters but it is all happening so fast they haven't had time. In 7 days he has gone from 2 doses of 15 mg of Oxycodone to 2/60 mg of Oxyconting q 4 h + 30 mg of Oxycodone liquid q 2 h + Lorazapam 1 mg .025 q 4 h + prednisone and laxatives and stool softeners and guifenesen for the mucus.

I am so afraid that we will get overworked, overstressed and overtired and make a fatal error on his meds or something.

This is possibly the hardest thing I will ever do in my life. I appreciate your offer to be a bit of a sounding board. All my family are gone and so are his. It is just us and has been for 36 years.

    Thank you and God bless

Thank you, I know now that until I have the biopsy done, I will know for sure. They did mention that if they couldn't get enough through the biopsy, next step would be to go through the neck area. So I shall wait and see and I will most definitely be patient thinking positive thoughts!
