Happy New Year ItsmeJennifer, I have been on Taxatere and Taxo for alittle over a year and a few months. Just now starting to receive Herpatin and Prejeta to keep my liver tumors stable...praying for the best. I never received radiation and no removal of the breast either my cancer started in my lymph nodes and lungs and liver so it has been painful physically and emotionally. You and others give me hope of survival . Thanks for the post. So you have been in remission for 16 years and what side affects has the Herpatin given you. And when does the fatigue stop?0January 2016

Research is ongoing, some may come our way. I also recommend Inspire, they have an active her2 thread going. Fear is a tough one, I know that. I wish for you remarkable response and many more years. We her2 gals know about hope. I lived in La Crescenta California until my husband took a job in Maryland. Miss California!0January 2016

Hello and welcome, we are sorry for your diagnosis, but we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the database to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.

Hi Californian, I grew up in Imperial Beach & spent many years in La Crescenta. When I visit my daughter in Santa Clara I do a happy homecoming dance. I do recommend the Inspire.com site & also Smart Patients (I met one of their founders) because there is so much to continue to learn, all of these sites have some generous folks with extraordinary knowledge they willingly share.0December 2015

I saw you posted about having heart palpitations. Have you had them before? Does your oncologist know you are having them? If not, make sure you call and tell them about it. Herceptin and Perjeta can effect your heart, as I'm sure you are aware since you have probably had heart monitoring since the time you began Herceptin treatment.0December 2015

Hi, Jennifer.
I belong to an organization of great women that have faced the news of breast cancer..it's not recognized by "society" but it's one many of us joined unwittingly. I've deemed it's name, Pink Lady Society. The perks are other pink ladies that offer you hope, advice, prayers (if wanted), and laughter.
We're practically neighbors as I live in Auburn. I don't know if you know but there is an amazing support group on Wed. mornings at the Gold Rush Chevrolet dealer. It is not just for the patients but anyone who has been effected by any type of cancer.
The meeting begins at 9:30 and ends when it's done. Dr. Jonathan Hake is a wonderful compassionate doctor that is a great resource of information inc. clinical trials, etc.
I will be returning to the group when my job ends in January. I have been a part of the group since 2008 when I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer.
Any ?, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Peace and healing,
Claudia0December 2015 -
