Thank you for welcoming me Greg, I will be probably asking a lot. I hope I do not become a bother. But my mind is racing, my heart is beating faster than ever before, yet I am very tired. Trying to get some sleep, but my mind races and keeps me from dosing off. Do you have advise on a sleep aide?0December 2012

Thank you for your words of encouragement, Greg. You are right on with the feelings before and after the check-ups. Spoken like a veteran.
Thanks for all you do. You are a blessing to us all.0December 2012 -

I don't know how much of my memory problem comes from my age or if I can attribute it to persistent chemo head. I'm going to take a Silva Mind Course to see if I can improve it. It definitely sucks, at least my wife is starting to have some of the same lapses of memory.
Cheers!0December 2012 -
Well, I'm definitely NOT reading your mind! LOL!
I think you mentioned it to someone else. There was some guy who posted a picture of a psychedelic Harley, and I believe that you commented comparing it to your bike.
It's either that or I've developed superior mental abilities that even I am unaware of! ;-)0December 2012 -
I used to have a BMW R/90/6. I loved it. It was the only transportation I had for 6 years. I got rid of it when I started dating seriously, and now that I'm married, my wife doesn't want me to get another cuz she's afraid I'll get hurt.0December 2012

Well, I had 3 of them, the first one I did crash. I hadn't been riding long, I was on a highway and a jerk pulled out in front of me. I t-boned him at 55 mph. It tore my liver in 3 places, but other than that I was fine.
They call me Crash because I've wrecked my bicycle twice. The last time I had a non displaced fracture of a cervical vertebrae. Much better now, thank you very much. I do need to be more careful.....0December 2012 -
No opening question this morning...is everything ok? You all right?

Hi GregP,
My dental issues have yet to be resolved I am scheduled for another "consult" in January 2013. The research I have completed indicates that my "best chance" will come complete with 30 HBO treatments before and 10 HBO (deep inside I wish that HBO stood for some television time...but alas it is not LOL) treatments after the extractions. I will keep you posted.
My "new news," received just last week is that my primary care Doc at the VA has ordered another CAT scan for me because of a "small aortic aneurism" that was found on an earlier CAT scan. The Doc said they wanted to "watch it." This is the first I have heard of that situation it has not yet been scheduled but I will hear back soon enough (at least I hope so LOL).
My continued best wishes to you & yours,

<<She also donates to my Relay For Life events now too. So all is good with her.>>
What people know in their heads and feel in their hearts can be quite different. I don't wish to push this but public faces and private feelings can be quite at odds. The fact that she is cordial to you has nothing to do with her one bit of honesty or whether she has been able to change how she perceives things. A neutral grief councelor or psychologist, swown to secrecy and paid to listen and assist healing, is better than contributing to charity out of guilt or remorse. I could be all wet which is why I do not want to push but to only display a different perspective. No one knows what is in this lady's head except for that one moment when she revealed her true and innermost feelings.0December 2012 -
You wrote: " She said that her dad had died a year earlier, and she was mad that I had been given 3 chances to live on after beating cancer three times and her dad was not given any chance and died. She broke down and cried after telling me this and apologized for doing it."
I hope that you befriended this woman. I hope you were able to talk with her and discuss how to change her feelings into a more positive outlook. If you are still in contact with her and have not done so, perhaps you could mention the benefit, to her, of a really good grief counselor.
She certainly needs to be shown how to lift her spirit.
Just sharing my thoughts on the matter which you made public.
Best wishes.0December 2012 -

Hi Greg,
My comment buttons are back so I replied this morning to your post from yesterday, but then wasn't sure if you would see it if it were posted as a comment on my page, so reposting it on yours.
Your What's Nexter post did finally show up on my home page but it showed up as being from a day ago (when you sent it) not when I received it. So it ending up getting burried under other posts I received before yours so except for scrolling down the page because I was specifically looking for it, I would have missed seeing it.
Happy Thanksgiving.0November 2012 -
Loved the comment about you having to walk to tratment, uphill both ways. I'm sure the young whippersnappers will continue to entertain. : )0November 2012

My page does indicate that I am following you but the only way I see your media posts is if I go to your home page and scroll through which I can do with anybody whether I am following them or not. But your media posts don't show up on my home page.0November 2012

Hi Greg. I have a site question. Not sure if this is something my chemo brain forgot or if this is something I never knew. How does a member know about these new media posts? I see where the Pinboard tab takes you to what seems like a random sampling of photos and tags, but is there anything that is similar to the questions format where they are displayed in some sort of order or where they are identified as new items such as on the digest emails. Also, I thought that when you "folliow" a person that provides some sort of flag when they post something, but I don't think that is happening so I don't want the point is of following a member or being followed. I do get an notice when somebody posts something to my wall, whether they are following me or not.0November 2012

Hi Greg. I'm one of the AOL users who wasn't getting email anymore. Just wanted to let you know, AOL is now throwing it into my SPAM folder, but at least I'm getting the emails. Hope this info is helpful.0November 2012

Before my grandma passed from stage IV lung cancer, she bought our whole family tickets and hotel for Disneyland. She didn't want us to be grieving over her at the house. We went to Disneyland for Christmas in 1983 when my grandfather, her first husband died of mesothelioma. The point wasn't necessarily Disneyland but more o let's do something out of the ordinary so it's not as sad.0November 2012

Hi Greg,
Just wanted to report a minor technical issue. When I click on "stop following" on my following list, nothing happens. No big deal, just trying to do a little account maintenance.
