Hi Diane, I'm a little worried about you after reading your post to ShortStuff about a possible problem. Are you having growth?0March 2019

Have you done okay on your monthly dose? I can't tell a bit of difference from the biweekly infusions and the monthly ... at least so far. It sure is going to feel good to not have to go back to the doctor for a whole month!!!!!0April 2018

Diane, i just read that you have been (or were) having a lot of nausea. I hope and pray it wasn't the Opdivo and that you're feeling better now.
I am going to once a month treatments, starting this month. I am both excited and nervous.0April 2018 -
I was just reading on another post, that you're on an immunotheraphy drug? How is that working for you? Do you do chemo as well, or just that one drug? Do you have to be on it for a certain amount of time? Im just curious, because I was recently told I will be on one for the rest of my life, and was curious how it works for you? I know it's a different situation, but just curious. :]0May 2017

Hi! I saw your answer on nivolumab. I have been on it for over a year and also having some major joint issues. Swollen, achy, sharp pains and recently numb toes. Just wondered if we have similar symptoms? Thanks, Sandi0July 2016

My heart goes out to you. I've been in stage 4, originally bowel cancer, for almost 2 years. I'm told I'm terminal. I'm positive and can do almost anything I once did. Here is a poem I wrote when I thought, well death is imminent cancer not. I'm 73
GOING HOME
The days have grown too long for me,
to long for me to bear
My nights bring on discomfort friends
there's no rest anywhere.
The world has changed too much for me,
this body, on loan, has failed
I'm trading it in for a Holy one,
that God that I am saved!
My only regret? Leaving my loved ones,
the thought gives me much pain
Beloveds follow Jesus Christ and we will meet again
Goodbye, Goodbye to all of my friends,
farewell to those I love.
Stand strong with God and love the Lord
I will see you up above.

Thank you Dianem for the words of encouragement and for reaching out to us (me) and sharing your story. I find, especially now, that the human nature to seek a community of like-minded folks is very strong right now. And then, there you are! God bless you! Mom will have to wait a several more weeks before she knows which study drug she has been randomly selected for. She's anxious because it has been 6 weeks since her last chemotherapy treatment and she's ready to get going. Our faith is in God, and his timing and His plans, though I struggle and wrestle with it daily. I'm so glad to have found this site and plan to bookmark this site for mom on her laptop as she is homebound and needs to talk with others with similar journeys. Take care and we'll be in touch.0May 2014

Congratulations on your Tumors shrinking. I have been fighting stage IV lung cancer for almost 4 years. You have found a new family that will be here for you to answer questions or just be there to listen. God bless you and be with you through your journey.0February 2014

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/lung-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site.
