I didn't get my second scans until approximately four months after starting chemo. Now that I'm taking a break, they will re-scan me again, even though I just had it done about a month and a half ago, and the tumor(s) had not grown in the last set of scans. It never seems to be clear!0August 2014

Hi Lipi. I see that you have elected to follow me. I was diagnosed w/stage IV endometrial cancer in July 2012. Doing well now. I see that you sister is the patient. I went through the whole hospice thing w/my Mom. She passed away 2 weeks ago. If there are no alternatives and you sister doesn't want to pursue treatment. My didn't have cancer (stroke w/lots of other issues). She wasn't eating well & refused meds & testing,so I got hospice involved. Glad I did. Even though Mom was in nursing home, the hospice team was there for HER alone. I hope your sister doesn't have to face that. I wish you both the best.0July 2014

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Okay, nice to meet you, but you have me confused. What do you mean by "ident"? If you are talking about some of the genetic mutations, CAS 1 is the most knowledgeable person on here about mutations and lung cancer. And yes, targeted therapies are making significant progress. Mine is such a mutant mixture of 3 different cancer cell types, no one to my knowledge has tried to type it, but they might now as I just had half of my left lung taken out last week. If you are talking about the genetic mutations, look up CAS 1 on the general lung cancer page. She should be able to set you up with some good links.0July 2014
