Scan anxiety comes with the territory. It doesn't do any good to worry about it, because it's out of our hands. One of my mantras is...worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength....of course it's easier said than done, but keep trying to get the anxiety down...keep strong and God bless.
( p s. Maryjimhath good to hear you are doing well..0March 2017 -
I'm happy to see you are looking into opdivo...if it works, your side effects may be much more manageable than those with chemo. I hope all is well with you or as well as it can be. You are always in my prayers0September 2016

How are you doing. I have a terrible time posting things. I'm doing ok. Since we last touched base, after 22 months on the clinical trial, I was taken off because my lung tumors had started to grow. But, they were able to donsurgeryband i had two lobes remover. Now I'm back on immunotherapy again with good results so far. The only downside is that I have a lot of joint pain, which they are treating with steroids and nerve medication. But it's manageable. Hope all is well with you. Keep strong and God bless0August 2016

I was reading your wall, and we have more in common than lung cancer. I notice we are close in age (of course age is only a number) but more interesting, I too lost my husband to alzheimers. He passed away at age 60 from early onset, so it will be 10 years this November. losing him was hard, but when I look at the goodness that is in my children, I know he is still with me. I hope that thinking gives you some comfort as well. I feel for you because it must be so difficult to face each of these challenges at the same time. Please know I will keep you in my prayers0February 2014

Hi. It's Dana...It has been so long since you wrote me I'm embarrassed. Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement. I just moved to a country house, and we love it. I love that I can take my chemo by pill, it's a biological.
Anyway, the side effects are water weight and nodding out. I will take those over anything, any day. Although it means a lot of homeward bound-ness (is that even a word?) lol. I love that I maintain my sense of humor. I have Xylkori the one that works on peeps that have the deficient ALK Genome. I want to encourage everyone to have the genetic testing. Not everyone will react like me, but there will be plenty I am sure. If you have knowledge of a way to pass that around, please write my wall.

Hi it's Dana again. I had missed about your husband. I am so sorry. I have a roommate who's father is in the grip of Alzheimer, and I forget how hard it is on the people it is around him and he himself. God Bless you again. Sounds like you fly about bringing light and love with you.
I don't know if this helps, I have a cat, have had her for several years, they really help, seem to sense that you are ill and curl around you, let them you know they love you...well, anyway light lady, my typing skills go south when I am tired, so Sayonara...Dana0October 2013 -
