Hi, Boise- How are you doing? Have you ever looked at the Chewy dot-com site for any of your cat toys and supplies?

I got a small catalog from them, and cat things are precious and unlike some of the things at most local stores. You really need to look. They have a big loop thing - where cats can be on top or the middle- light-easy to move.

What caught my fancy are dish towels that say cat (dog) hair is a food condiment and a fashion statement. --I showed that to my son in the hope that he'd get me a dog hair one.

Boise, you can order food from them---You know that I have large hounds-and their food consumption is all over the place because of Stonewall's cancer. I used to get 2 big bags every 4 weeks. went down to 1 bag every 3 weeks (I'm still experimenting on that. I just don't know what to expect). No problem. I have a stack of 3 dog food bins that hold 50 lbs each, to keep mice, etc. out of their food. Anyway, after a couple of weeks, I assumed that the bottom bin was half full-and the normal delivery would be by 7 days.

Stonewall decided that he was very hungry for his dog food. I opened the bin about 4 pm--and it had only enough kibbles for 2 meals. I rushed to the phone and called Chewy-and told them what happened. They said "NO PROBLEM" They said that it would take 3 days for the delivery-they cover their rear by not making false promises. About 30 hours later, the FedEx driver was standing on my porch with the dog food. Inside was a get well card for Stonewall. They didn't charge me extra for the expedite delivery.

Meanwhile, I rushed to the commissary and bought a 30 lb turkey, and started defrosting it. The dog food came before the turkey was defrosted. Any order over $50 has free shipping. I also order dog things that come with the automatic shipping.

They have the most wonderful new cat-dog brush made by Kong. It works with static electricity, Just stroke the animal with the pad, and loose hair jumps out and sticks to the pad. The hair doesn't fall loose. I just take my hand and pull the hair comes off in my hand. I don't have any trouble dumping the hair in the trash. It's so good for smooth coated heads and ears.

Anyway, you might have fun looking at Chewy's goodies.

    Take care

Hi Boise. I hope that you're feeling better. Thanks for putting in your 2 cents about stomach acids.

I hope that you have a nice Thanksgiving tomorrow. It'll just be me and my son, and maybe Levi and his enigmatic Chloe. We never have a clue what she wants to do.

I've missed your Caturdays. Do you think that you'll another cat? I hope that you feel up to doing that. My son had a Gray Russian that went out in the yard with me. He guarded me. I'd be working by the sidewalk and I'd hear laughing or some young man would say-- OK Little Man- I won't get near your Lady or Hey that's some guard cat you have. I'd look up and Felix was making them walk out in the street.

Stonewall seems to be doing better. He slept through the night, last night. So Missy slept through the night too. Me, I kept waking up to let them out. I didn't have insomnia-but I woke up- checked Stonewall- couldn't quite get back to sleep, so I moved-- I slept in my recliner, my bed, and the couch. Then I woke up at 5- couldn't go back to sleep- so I threw their skank rears out and fixed their breakfast.

Hi, BoiseB. I've been thinking of you and your loss of your Granny Cat. I just wanted to send you a hug.

Hi Boise, how are you holding up? I hope that Nanny Cat is resting and is comfortable-as much as possible. I know that it's so hard on you- watching her and trying to control her pain-comforting her.

Stonewall is doing OK. He sleeps a lot. The only thing he's willing to eat is fresh roasted chicken and some pasta. Just in the last few days, he stopped coming into the kitchen when I'm chopping it up. Now, I put it in his bowl and wave it under his nose---

He just went outside-- at least that part of him is working OK. There is some advantage in being a dog.

Hi, Boise. I just wanted talk to you a minute. You know, you were the first person that connected with me on Whatnext. I was so happy to meet somebody that knew that buffalo spread Bangs.

I hear you about sleeping sitting up because of stomach problems. It's miseable--move wrong and I feel like I'm drowning in stomach acid and contents. I have a recliner that I sleep in a lot. I lived in it while I had Whooping Cough, all of the sinus drainage set off acid reflux big time. I kept writing in office visits-- I'm drowning. I have IBS- and it makes GERD worse.

I'm sleeping in my bed, but I have a mountain of pillows. One problem is the hounds like to sleep on the pillows and push me out of bed.

Geekling told me that she enjoyed meeting her, and she says that you're one tough lady.

Take care-- love and prayers- meyati

Hi Boise, I too have had some terrible nightmares concerning WW2. As we are about the same age, we were just mere babies during the end of that awful war, but still had dreams about it.
I worry that the North Korean leader Kim, will unleash a nuclear bomb at us or other country & start WW3. Trump is crazy enough to follow thru with more nuclear weapons & that will be that. Two unstable & bullyish leaders are really too scary for words.

Hey BoiseB, just read you have had six abdominal surgeries, thought I had a lot at four. If we had known the future we could have had abdominal zippers placed after the first surgeries.

Recover from the Whooping Cough, and fight with the city. I don't have the best yard, but the city is on my rear about weeds. The city has recognized my side yard as naturalized, trees, native flowering shrubs, buffalo-prairie grasses, wild flowers. No spurge, no tumbleweeds, no mustard--a foxtail problem in the ally. Hey, it did something strange, like rain--I told zoning that I'm 75, health problems-since I talked to him Thursday, th doctors say I need knee replacement-the owner is a 100% disabled vet-and he said he isn't giving me any thing perferential-etc. My section of the ally is over half cleaned up- and I mean clean.

The link for summer social won't work.

Take care Boise. I know it's a big emotional issue when things change in our support and family.

Hi Boise! I tried to post a comment to your question you posted about your oncologist letting you know you might not need check ups, but that page won't let me actually post my comment,,,seems like the page is "frozen" or something. Anyway, is that a good thing about your doc no longer wanting to do check ups? What do you think about that?

Hi BoiseB! Hope all is well. Hope you inheritance is making life a bit easier for you. How is progress on fixing your teeth?

Anyways, I wanted to mention to you that the boxes available down any cereal aisle are not exactly the oats and wheatberries and rye of your forefather's generation. You are one of a few peeps using this site who might have interest

So? What makes you so special amongst a Universe or two of creatures which are born with a birthright of joy? Have you become unAmerican and given up your right to that happiness pursuit?

When I was younger, I always said no to marriage because I did not actually understand the question. The only marriage template I'd experienced was one of strife and pain and woe and I saw no reason to give up having good times in exchange for giving a permission for me to get verbally abused and physically beaten.

When I got older, I better understood the question but had residual lack of self esteem and insecurity issues.

Now I have finally lived long enough and I hope I have time to live long enough to heal spiritually along with physically and again have opportunity. I just hope I havent gone too far in my fear and self destruction and can again become strong enough to regain and make use of my G-d given rights to enjoy myself, my lover, my world, this earth and the stars above which guide us along.

    Best wishes and laughter
