Hi Vivenia I am a colorectal cancer survivor diagnosed in August 2009. Went thru chemo radiation then first surgery wore a bag for 6 months another round of chemo before my second surgery. In December of this year will be my last 6 months checkup then I will go yearly unless I feel something is wrong. Are you still in treatments?? Have you had surgery??? How are you feeling??? The most important thing that you need is A POSITIVE ATTITUDE that will help you thru everything. I wish you the best of luck and God Bless You!! Go for it Dont ask anybody The oncologists have to pamper you It makes them feel better (I am a cancer patient and a physician) The point is don't put yourself in danger of falling but any other pushing you do is just fine You cannot harm yourself unless you fall. Start by building up your stamina on safe pieces of cardio equipment (elliptical, stationary bike, arc trainer) If you run out doors get something on wheels that you can push and use as support in case you lose your balance Go for endurance rather than speed. The neuropathy gets better but exercise will help it to get better faster Also, do leg presses etc at the gym Stronger leg muscles will help compensate for the nerve deficit Good luck! Start with a 5K though not a half marathon!0July 2013

Thanks for the update. I understand about staying away from dealing with the cancer. It sounds like they are starting to get your side effects under control. Hang in there. If there is anything you need, please let us know.
I got through the 5FU and you can too!0January 2013 -
