    Hi Razmataz
I do hope to meet you when I finally make it up to Olympia. I need to make it up to Washington before mid-October because taking a Uhaul over the mountians can be pretty dicey after that

Go to Ebay and get a body pillow. Good to take pressure off of hips and backs- Amazon is too expensive and has bad designs.

Walmart advertises body pillows online- and in store---but people re complaining they are COVERS for body pillows--wanted to save you that frustration

Sorry to hear of your recurrence. Do you have a treatment plan? I know you've had some emotional struggles. How are you doing? I know this must be quite a blow, but I hope you find that strength to soldier on. And we are still here for you! Always!

Thank you for responding...The last couple of days have been really tough. My husband has been extremely weak and suffering from mouth sores which is just one more thing to impede his appetite. Today has been a little better.

Hello. Been near death but I think finally on the mend. Waiting on some test results to see if my neph tubes need switched out sooner than later. Been 4 months looks like I'm stuck with the tubes for a while. As far as my own question I posted regarding to justify I don't care anymore after this most recent brush with death. So not sure if that helps. Lol. Hope you are well. How are you?

Thanks for the encouragement. Finally decided to take an antidepressant about 3 months ago along with a new antidepressant/sleeping pill. Felt I needed to be "strong" the past year and finally decided I could ask for help - joining this group is part of that process. It's comforting to know that my thoughts are not crazy and that yes, it may take longer to recover from this than past illnesses like broken bones and gastric surgeries. Have to recognize I'm 66, am dealing with cancer and blindness and I have a "right" to be tired (and sometimes cranky). Keep your positive attitude, your comments are comforting and appreciated. Hugs back at you......

It is good to push yourself. But this is one area in which you should definitely consult your doctor. My Dr.s were always very doomy and gloomy about my recoveries. so I did recover quicker that my Dr.s expected. But then I have remained alive and cancer free longer than they predicted. However recovery is not just pushing yourself. It is studying nutrition (go beyond Google) and adjusting your diet. A visit to a nutritionist is advisable but don't just leave it there get some reading material.
Secondly get guided exercise either some physical therapy or join a cancer survival group at your local YMCA our Y has five different programs for cancer survivors some sponsored thy the LIVESTRONG foundation.
    Good Luck on your journey

Hi razmataz, It sounds like we've had similar treatments and experiences. I had endometrial cancer, so a little bit different. But, I had 6 chemos, radiation, blood clots in the lungs. Then, they found thyroid cancer when that treatment was all over. I'm in remission now, though, so there is hope.

Hi Razmataz. Welcome to What Next. There are lots of great people here. If you have any questions, please use the question tab above -- that way the entire network will have access & you'll get a quicker response. Likewise, please feel free to browse questions, as your experiences may help another WhatNexter. I notice that you've had issues w/insurance -- have those been resolved? I work in the med insurance industry and might be able to offer suggestions if you are still having problems. I'm glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that led you here. Wishing you all the best.

Hello and welcome, we are sorry for your diagnosis, but we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
