Thanks for your good advice. I'm just so scared - his prostate cancer went into the bones in January. He's already very miserable from the meds he has to take but is in no pain yet.0July 2018

Yes, dogs are so precious. I brush his teeth with dog toothpaste. He is almost 9 and has all of his teeth. I feel so guilty because I don't take care of them as meticulously as I used to. When I brought him to the Vets in Sept for all his labs, injections, etc the Vets said he was fine. No way. Not fine for me. As soon as I get my taxes money back I'm going to get him to the best dog dentist I can find in this area (Providence RI.)
My Sister had a 3 legged sheltie. We loved that dog.
I am currently working on an apt to help animals all over the world. Especially dogs. I'm trying to get it out in 2017 or 2018 depending on my health status. It could literally change tell world for animals. I temporarily call it Pet Universe, it might "Universe" might be too long. Is Pet World too obvious?? Haaaa
Thank you for txting. Be well.

Very inspirational journey. Just diagnosed adenocarcinoma lung stage 4, had wedge resection to confirm diagnosis. Having brain MRI, chest x ray, meeting with Surgeon and oncologist for first time sine surgery last week. Also going to University of Pennsylvania on 5/21/18 for 2nd opinion. I am also a 64, active otherwise healthy female. Hope that I can fit not one of the new treatments

Hi---Jax is 58 lbs. I took him to the vet Friday to make sure all of the paperwork is OK and make sure that Jax got his city license. The vet seems to love him. She says that he's 2 or 3 years old, but I'm thinking that he's younger. Puppyish ways- big feet, big breast bone, really soft fur.
Missy and Jax are acting like hounds- sharing food and the bed. I think that the c-rap was beat out of Jax for hound talk. He thinks that helicopters are giant birds of prey that want to eat hound dogs--We live near an air base and every so often a few helocopters go overhead a few times. --anyway yesterday, he ran in, and then he went to the door way and watched them.
He had one accident the 2nd day. Then yesterday, Jax and Missy had a spat. That's not bad for a Diva dog and a new subject.0May 2018 -
I saw a pic of a pink mold. Was that used for your radiation? I go on May 1 to hear what treatment path is being proposed for my stage 3a lung nodes.0April 2018

Excited and scared. The doctor had said that the FDA has approved Keytruda as an addition to chemo. He though I'd be a good candidate and we are starting it this next treatment (May 3rd) It gives me a little hope in this sea of desperation.0April 2018

Hi there lady. Saw this months newsletter and had trouble focusing on your picture It is still early in California and I have not had my second cup of tea so I will blame my poor eyesight on that. Finally realized you were standing next to a horse. A dog was my first guess, then I put on my glasses. Beautiful animal. Along with your two dogs you have a lucky trifecta.0April 2018

But she was told chance of cancer in other parts of her body are the SAME as for her other breast. It’s a breast cancer specific gene? I know she will now have chance other places.0April 2018

Just saw this video and thought of you. It's apparently 7 years old, but someone just reposted it. First time I've seen it.

It's a music video for "White Knuckles" by OK Go and features some terrific dogs. :-)0April 2018 -
Hey-pray for me. I'm trying to get a hound from Kansas. My whole family is getting it, but I'm not sure the shelter realizes that. His name is Goofy. he's half blood hound half Bluetick-he's 90 lbs-which is my preferred size.
The family got back from the Victoria area yesterday. Missy was out yorking-then she came and got me-she does the Lassie thing a lot. I went out and these 2 men were talking-trying to figure out if I still had large dogs. Everyone can tell that Stonewall is gone-because they don't hear his bawling. Goofy should have an excellent voice-and keep Missy company. It's starting to bother her more know. She's never been alone before-and she doesn't much care for non-hounds.0April 2018 -

Hey, LWC!
I just want to follow up and suggest that you check into the VA's Aid and Attendance eligibility for your husband and you. Under certain conditions, it will even pay for a wife to receive benefits.
It could be on the internet, but I know a Veterans Benefits Officer can tell you. Good luck! Have a good weekend!0April 2018 -

Unfortunately, I couldn't attend the Hope Summit, although I have attended them in the past. My husband and I attended the Genentech advocacy conference in Phoenix the first of March and exhausted our travel budget for now.0March 2018

I see you are switching to once a month...me too as of my next treatment. As with you, I’m a little anxious, but it must be pretty solid if they are recommending it for both of us. Good luck. Keep strong and God bless0March 2018

Yeah- American pedigree sort of bothers me---I'm quite proud to come from a family of soldiers, miners (coal and uranium), butchers, mostly farmers, construction workers, I love the American pedigree of hard work to take care of your family and community.0January 2018
