Thanks for supporting others by answering questions, offering advice and positive wishes! It does make a difference for them to see that other people have been there and are doing OK.

HI Sue. I live in Traer. It's real close to Waterloo. I am literally so scared with this cancer. I'm triple positive, just finished 3 chemo cycles. See the oncologist on Friday, he states he'll order more tests and then move me to surgery for bilateral mastectomy. My tumor was at one time 3.2 cm. Now neither he or I can feel it. I'm so afraid I am stage 4, even though he scoffs at me. I just have a nagging feeling. Because I am her2 positive, I'll do more chemo after surgery. What chemo regimen did u take? I had herceptin, taxotere and perjeta.0September 2015

Yes...I have a navigator. I was planning on taking two weeks off, but if I can get by with a week, that would be awesome. Yes, I'm worried about the drains too. How long were you in the hospital? I'm hoping I can do most things for myself like bathing, dressing, etc. Did u sleep in recliner or bed?0September 2015

I just do the online supports like here. I also won't be staged until after surgery. At least I know the chemo before surgery is working. Cannot feel the mass any longer in right breast. Can you tell me how you handled surgery, pain, long off work, recovery tips, etc? I'll try harder to trust the Doctors. :-)0September 2015

Radiation-- Go for it. Even chemo can cause secondary cancers, and cancer cells slip off the knife and spread the cancer. some surgeons are better than others, and I think that some cancers have this problem a bit more-- I found radiation easy to do. For some reason it wouldn't let me post in your question0October 2014

Just know that no question is to silly to ask and if you need to vent because you are having a bad day, we are here for you. I hope you find this site as helpful to you as it has been for me.0May 2014

Hello...you will find wonderful people, information and support here...please let us know if we can help in any way...the first few weeks are the hardest until you have a plan of attack in place ( after all, this is a war on cancer)...try to have someone go to your appointments with you as there is soooooo much discussed that an extra set of ears is always a good thing....get a binder with sections you can have for surgery, oncology, radiation, etc. Have one page for all the phone numbers you will accumulate...I also had a section for all my Leave of Absence paperwork.
We are all here for one another, be sure to ask questions and join in our discussions....sending along best wishes and a sincere welcome.0May 2014 -
Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us.Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
