Marcscohen--- I have several questions about your jaw
#1---what ype of testing did they do to find out?
#2-- do you know the type of infection?
#3-- What type of antibiotic did they use?
#4---What type of doctor was in charge of your treatment?
Thank you very much0August 2016 -
Thank you for posting about the necrosis in your jaw and the antibiotics. I'm getting a hole under my nose-I don't know if it's from the type of cancer I have or necrosis. My oncologists have been post-poning my bi-annual scans and exams. I've contacted them on phone and Email. I've been told to not worry. I had a screaming fit the last time an office called to reschedule a few months later. I'm going for my scan at 1 pm today---I wrote a letter that I'm giving to the imaging company-begging for them to report the hole- how deep the size-calcification.0August 2016

Did your necrosis have calcification around the edge? Is the size of a dime a big hole?0August 2016

Hi marcscohen. How are doing? Looks like you have had some good news. That is wonderful.0June 2016

I don't know how to msg on here. I could blame it on the full brain radiation but it also could be due to the MS "cog fog" which is why they made me retire. I used to be a salesman.0February 2015

Marc...you are one of those guys who I also like to read about. I'm 61 y.o. Stage IV EGFR+NSCLC...DX'd July 2013. I'm an oncology P.A. who never suspected I'd be in the chair across from an oncologist!:). I've been on Tarceva for 15 mo with a nearly complete response. I still work at our oncology clinic MWF and love it even more than I did before my dx. Marc, your communication and just "being there" for people is invaluable. Your persistence is very instructive to all of us. I look forward to following you on the site. By the way, what's your current therapy?0October 2014

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves.
