I wish you the best in your recovery from the aneurism. Someone I work with was just diagnosed with this yesterday. She will be undergoing coil surgery and getting a stent.

I am sending you bunches of "cyber" get well balloons with a big teddy bear tied to the end, 'cause everyone needs a teddy to cuddle when they are sick. You are so strong and have been through such a lot. I know with your determination, you will get through this newest hurdle too. I did not know before this that you teach special needs children, or that you have a special needs child of your own. I know what incredible qualities it takes to teach these awesome kids, because I have fostered many special needs children, and I have five adopted children of my own, some with psychiatric challenges, some with cognitive challenges, some a combination thereof. Special needs teachers have been a lifeline to surviving all the ups and downs of "special" parenthood. You are remarkable! I will be sending healing prayers your way and rooting for you every step of this new journey. ~ Kate

I heard from nurse Carm that you went through a tough time with an aneurysm. We're glad they caught it when they did and wish you the best for strength, and a return to doing whatever you enjoy for a very long time.

I am here because I am a cancer survivor, have worked in the heatlh care industry, and am a moderator on this site. I certainly don't know it all, but it is my job to make sure that people's questions don't go unanswered. I don't know off hand which question to are referring to but I am sorry you found my answer to be rude. I can only assure you that my intent is always to provide the best information that I can.

Wishing that all your side effects are getting less noticeable each day, and that along with remission you get more of your previous life back. You've had more than your share of problems along this journey...I don't think anybody's treatment is easy, but yours seems to have been especially difficult. I've found that taking some supplements has helped with sending side effects away--L-glutamine, Vitamin B-6, Alpha-Lipoic Acid--these appear to have helped my recovery. At least, the nerve damage from chemo is now often un-noticeable. You might check with your doctor or a nutritionist since you're now finished with the chemo and radiation; perhaps some of these, or other remedies not strictly medical in nature, would benefit you. Good luck, and enjoy the curls. I'm starting to get wavy hair after straight hair throughout my life--what a surprise! You'll find a way to make the most of it, I'm sure.

Thanks so much for joining us here! And thanks for filling out your journey in great detail, that helps others as they are just starting the journey as they look to see what it's like to go through it. You can help others by browsing the questions page and chime in on any question that you may have some information on. It really helps even if you just offer words of encouragement.

Thanks for being here, and let me know if I can help you find anything on the site.
