Welcome to What Next. We're glad you found us. Please ask questions and get know us as we get to know you. I was 62 when diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. I was immediately sent to a Gynecologic Oncologist Surgeon...(try saying that three times fast) I asked God to hold my hand as I was terrified. I asked Him to lead me where HE wanted me to be. Here I am 9 years later - Cancer Free. I had the debulking surgery where they removed a 39 lb. tumor.. and all the cancer they could see. They started me on chemo and did six - twenty-eight day cycles of chemo.. followed by a year of strong chemo once a month. This can be done!0December 2014

Hi there and welcome! Our diagnoses are similar. I have been walking this path for 16 months now. It's not easy but it's improving. I'm here if you have questions or want to share stores. There are also some wonderful resources on this site. Please spend a bit of time exploring and digging into things that will illuminate and assist you as you move forward.
And there are plenty of us here to help - ask us anything and you're sure to get helpful answers. Hugs!0December 2014 -
Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend

gemini, welcome to the site. I am 68 and was diagnosed last year just before my 67th birthday with stage III C ovarian cancer. If you are newly diagnosed make sure you find a good gyn/onc to head your medical team. I traveled 2 hrs. one way for my chemo and surgery since there was no GYN/onc in our town.Everyone on here has had their lives disrupted by this xxx disease. Please feel free to talk to any of us or perhaps ask questions of the whole community on the question tab.we are all here for each other. Take care, talk anytime0December 2014
