Hi Elaine... I see you are in Schenectady.I live in Saratoga Springs. My husband and I moved here from Florida 18 months ago after my diagnosis to be near our daughter. I am curious as to where you have been getting treatment as you mentioned it was close to your home. I have pancreatic cancer stage IIB. I'm seeing an onc here in town but he is not a pancreatic specialist.
I know we have different cancers but I am looking for the best cancer hospital around here. My primary onc in at Columbia in NYC.
I hope you are feeling well and things are looking up for you. This is some crazy ride isn't it ?!!!
    We'll get through it somehow,someway.
I wish you the very best, Take good care. Zoe

    Hi elainzuk
Just wanted to say hello. I have finished my Radiology and now just on a pill for five years. The worst part for me was the fatigue. I had the same DX as you and had a really good surgeon. I had a long way to drive to another town to get my treatment. then I found out about Road to Recovery. This is a group of volunteers who will offer their time to drive a patient for treatment. That was a huge help to me since I seemed to remain tired. I intend to offer also as soon as I am over my Cataract surgery. at the end of this month
If you need any help or you have something you can't quite understand don't hesitate to post it on the question page and you will get an answer. We have all been there and have felt the same
way..kind of like "I'm in a different world, what will happen now?" feeling. I know I am a grown woman but felt like a helpless little child . Everyone is so kind and understanding...It will pass quicker than you think and you will have it all behind you. So I hope you meet some nice new friends both on here and wherever you receive your treatment....All the best and God Bless.
