Welcome to the site. I am sure that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need someone to talk to. We are all in the same boat when it comes to emotions and feelings about our health. Just know that no question is to silly to ask and if you need to vent because you are having a bad day, we are here for you. I hope you find this site as helpful to you as it has been for me.

I am so glad I found you. I needed some triple negative good news. I am so depressed about all the negativity about this particular breast cancer diagnosis. I am 53. Currently in chemo and then surgery. Did you have chemo first?

Am bleeding and bruising less after minimizing intake of B12 foods and such. No pain still. Am getting more tired of course. Hubby has sorethroat and coughing, so am wearing masks, and such and disinfecting kitchen, etc as resistance is nil now. Hope you are doing well this week.

I have heard about glutamine helping. My breast surgeon is Dr Jerri Fant. Did you use someone in LR or NLR? Who is your oncologist? Mine is Dr Rhonda Gentry. Where did you have your chemo treatments?

Happy you are finished and feeling better. I cannot wait to get to that point. I have been going at this since March. I had 4 A/C and 12 Taxol, with only three Taxol left! My tumor was so large, I had to have the chemo first in order to shrink it, and I have node involvement as well. After the PET, I will see my surgeon and make a decision on that. The side effects of Taxol get harder each week as they told me they would. At this point I feel like it will be a long time before I start to feel anything like normal again. Just taking one day at a time.

Hello fellow Arkansan! I have three more Chemos left. I will be so glad to get that part behind me. It is not easy as you know. After those three are done, I will have PET scan to see how well it's worked. I will then have surgery and radiation after that, so I do have a long way to go yet. Are you totally done with all your treatment plan now?

I started a 4 course regiment last Monday. They are going to put in a port next week. So I am assuming after the 4 chemo treatments I go for surgery, then continue with more chemo.

Hi there, nice to hear from you and glad you are doing well...I know it's tough but hang in there...I believe the 1st time I did the chemo it was tougher (cyclophosphamide & taxotere(docetaxel) together, the treatment session was longer (3hrs). But the 2nd time around I kinda knew what to expect & how to try to head it off( or at least what may help) plus the session was on 1hr. So go into this next session remembering what helped u out the 1st time. I'm sure you'll do well. I will do another blood test (maybe a scan) in April, if the #'s are the same or god willing less, I will take the port out. So stay positive & be strong, but remember to take it easy on yourself...Prayers coming your way. and please stay in touch. You can find me on FB I am in another group for TNBC if you're interested let me know..Be well..

Welcome to the site. I think that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need to sound off or vent from anger. We are all here to listen and help, if we can, because at some point and time in each of our lives we have been in your situation. Please don't be afraid to ask questions either. No question on this site is silly or dumb. We all have questions we would like other opinions on or answers to. There are so many nice people here that it has helped me get through my fears I had when I was DX'd with DCIS. Good luck in the future.

I am glad you visited this site. Our fellow cancer flighters here were a great help to me when I was going through treatment. Seems my questions always popped up on the weekends when the doctors weren't in! I was in a daze when I found out I had TNBC but as I started doing some homework, I really got scared and feared the worst. Then I met a seven year survivor one day and I started to have some hope. Others here have given me hope as well. You seem to have that positive attitude that's so important to get you through chemo. It won't be easy but it is our best weapon against our kind of cancer. Hope you have a good day today!

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
