Welcome back! I noticed you've been a member for 6 yrs. You asked a question, second time any easier. It all depends. What do you have the second time around? My second time was Metastatic breast cancer in my lung. I'm 5 years out. Cancer looks like scar tissue on my lung, but my A-fib is BAD. Each one of us has a little different experience with cancer. Please keep in touch; we'll get back to you. I'm not good with the website, so I'm a hit or miss person.0August 2021

Hi, mslisae2. I came here to welcome you to the site, but it seems you are not new here at all? Unfortunately this site has been kind of a mess for a while now. We are all pretty devastated about it, it has served as support and encouragement for so many, we just hate to see it disappear. I would love to know how you are doing, it you get a chance to respond?0August 2021

How is your treatment? I have UterinePapillarySerouscarcinoma, I think we're similar, my surgery was in July, chemo started Sept, I'm in 4th cycle of carbo/taxol, will have 6, then external pelvic radiation. I had 1 sentinel lymph node positive and cancer on ovary, 1 tube, uterus, cervix. It is rare and aggressive, more like ovarian cancer I guess. I had trouble w/ my port since i'm on Lovenex for a post surgery blood clot. It was a painful huge hematoma, finally hematoma gone and port removed, so all the time I have been having chemo in vein anyway. Bravo for the half marathon! I do laps up and down our steep hills w/ my dog and get back into pilates 1 wk after chemo when I feel better. I have not been doing as much physical work on our farm as I thought I would, but trying to keep in shape. I love your attitude, and yes, cancer???? How did this happen??? Quite life changing, I am trying to not let it "define who I am" as they say....Hope you are well.0November 2015

Hi mslisae2, I also had stage IIIC uterine cancer. That was in 2011. I'm currently in remission and working full-time. I had surgery, chemo, and radiation. It was tough and many times I wanted to quit, but I stuck it out and I'm here to encourage you to do the same. Best wishes on your treatment.0August 2015

Hi Lisa. Welcome to What Next. There are lots of great people here. If you have any questions, please use the question tab above -- that way the entire network will have access & you'll get a quicker response. I was diagosed with stage IV endometrial cancer in July 2012. Hysterectomy & chemo. Currently I'm NED (no evidence of disease). And I'm a big wuss -- if I can get through treatment, I'm sure you can, too. I'm glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that led you here. Wishing you all the best!0August 2015

Hello and welcome, we are sorry for your diagnosis, but we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
