Good advice. I have a multiracial and multireligious family. My brother and his wife are practicing Buddhists-they live in Japan. Then we have Native Americans that practice their tribal religions with rain and water gods, among others. Then we have some that don't believe in anything-they practice love and compassion. I am a Christian, but I respect people, so I respect their customs and beliefs. In Japan, I go and pay my respect to the ancestors, because I love and respect my family.

Hi miedle and welcome to WhatNext.com . This is a great place to connect with other people who understand what you're going through and can answer many of the questions that will come up as you progress through treatment.

I have the same kind of cancer as yours, also stage IV. I was diagnosed in October of 2013 and am now done with chemo, surgery and all my scans have been clear for the past 18 months.

I'd love to hear more about your experiences and how you're doing now. Other than that, if you have questions, want info or opinions, or simply need to vent, you're in the right place. We get it.

    Hugs,
    Diann

Welcome to our WhatNext family. Just wanted you to know.. I was diagnosed in January 2006 with Stage IV Ovarian cancer. I was 62... Had my 72 birthday last month... Chin up... smile... and Thank God for His blessings. I asked Him to take my hand and lead me... I was so afraid.... He took my hand... my fear left me completely and He has led me to here... 9 years and six months later... Take His hand Miedle!!! we'll walk with you too.

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
