Thanks for the answers. I've seen megace used a lot in elderly people for appetite stimulant. Before my cancer diagnosis i had no familiarness with oncology so the alternative use for drugs for oncology I'm still learning. I don't believe my tumors were of the estrogen driven type but I am on no maintenance drugs of any kind. As far as the lymphedena does the lasix help you? The compression machine helped me the most that I got to use as a trial only. Insurance denied me the machine but I have appealed it. I should know in two weeks about the appeal. If you can get it, you would find it awesome. It's called flexi touch compression system. Hope you find relief as well.

    Hi maewia,
I hear you, i have been there, went through 6 years of treatment. You need to believe in your recovery. The answer is right around the corner, you just cannot see it yet! i have an ispirational story in the blog section, please read it. I was sick in my teens and my 20's and felt i was robbed of my youth. it is worth it to make it to the other side.

Seems we have been on a similar journey. Scan for me in March as well. Agree on the lymphedema and external radiation extremely difficult. Hopes and prayers for a great scan.

Hello. I hope you find answers and support here. Sorry for all that you are going through. I see your experience with the radiation and I agree with you radiation can be more difficult than chemo. I was unable to complete external pelvic radiation. I hope you are able to heal as time passes. Have they given you any insight as to possible time frame for your symptoms to resolve any? Was this external pelvic radiation? Again sorry for what you are going through.
