Hello and thanks for introducing yourself. Nice to meet another passenger on this journey. I was diagnosed on January 28, stage 3, and then had a gastrectomy on February 23. A whirlwind romance. I have recovered well from the surgery and started chemo today, 3/26. So far, no nausea and everything seems normal. Hopefully that will continue. I have been blessed with an outstanding care team. I wish you and your husband good health and a good recovery. Stay in touch. My very best wishes to you both.

Thank you for your post you made a point I had not thought of about at least she appreciates the gravity of the situation despite her age. Thank you for pointing this out. It helps to realize like what you are saying the opposite spectrum. I think it's either in people to care or it's not. I've been slammed with this knowledge since the cancer dx. People have surprised me. Again you are doing right protecting your peace with not addressing the drama. Will have you in my thoughts and prayers.

I started following your page two weeks ago. I lost my wife on March 27th of this year to lymphedema. On May 6th after testing for 14 months they finally found cancer in my stomach lining. The last test they did on May 27th was a laprostomy and found a spot on my diaphragm. Went from chemo and surgery to terminal with a chance at remission. It has been a challenging experience to face alone. My son lives an hour and a half away. My brother takes me to my chemo treatments. I am currently taking chemo pills as well. So far minimal side effects from chemo. Hope it stays that way. Good luck and I hope the cancer stays away fro you.

You offered great wisdom on caregiving. You impressed me and seem to grasp the needs of the patient and yourself. Not easily done. You have a full plate. I just wanted to say thank you for what you have done. I was always the caregiver until I got sick last May. It is not an easy road for anyone. Sending warm hugs and much gratitude for your understanding.
