Hello akristine
And so we begin, or begin again in the case of new recent diagnosis. Going to be a rough road which I suspect will be filled meeting other survivors and receiving and giving the gifts of connection, concern, and self and other compassion.
I suspect that our concern (worry) is there for our family members since we have been the glue that has helped secure others members . May today we feel the release from fear over those things we cannot control.. Maeve0July 2019 -
I was a little confused at the beginning from you being diagnosed almost 8 years ago.I read a little about you since you started to follow me. Now I understand, but lost for words lately on lots of things.
Let me know if you get effected on Arimidex.I had to completely stop it in 2 1/2 years.I couldn't continue for the whole 5 years.0May 2019 -

Good morning .getting ready to go see the surgeon....at 11..but I'm.pretty sure he is going to tell me chemo before surgery..did you have breast cancer and what stage when diagnosed?0November 2018

Hi Akristine
Thanks for following me I will do the same so we can keep in touch. I was looking at one of your diagnosis and you had liposarcoma. Never heard of that ,how did you figure that you had it? how does it manifests. I see that you’re a breast cancer survivor that’s awesome. I was reading that liposarcoma can also be the result of RT . Is it true ? You know, I barely started on this journey I’m having surgery this coming Thursday for a small lump they found on my breast hopefully it’s only stage one if it’s stage two with lymph nodes I think I’m gonna have to have chemo instead of RT and H Therapy . .
I will let everybody know how to surgery went maybe Friday or Saturday hopefully I’ll feel good enough Friday to give you guys an update
Xoxo

Dear akristine: you are a nice lady.
When you said "here, you can use mine" in reference to sword and shield, I got a little tear in my eye. That was very comforting to see you say that to a new person who is afraid.
Be well. Peace.

I am very sorry for what you have gone through. It reminds of myself having 2 different cancers.

I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Grade IVD CANCER on March 15 2016.After working 40 years as a Medical Assinstant for 2 Doctors,I never dreamed this would happen to me.I had missed a total of 8 days over 40 years other than the birth of my daughter 35 years ago.Just extremely healthy. I bumped my collarbone that day at work and while in the bathroom that night,I was draining to look and feel the area when my little finger touched on top of the nodule.I knew immediately. Ended up getting Diagnistice mammo and ultrasound the next day.Two days later I had biopsy and results the next. One week later I had lumpectomy and sentinel node removal. Since then I have had a Pet scan on breast, revision of lumpectomy, SAVI RADIATION for 5 days, PET SCAN of body Echocardiogram to check strength of heart to start Chemo in 2 weks and Power Port installed yesterday. It has been a whirlwind. My patients are now finding out as well as my co-workers and family.I have a Wealth of friends who are Doctors thru my years of working in the medical profession. Lots of pros and a few cons.I never even been on Facebook so this is a biggy, but after hours on the internet,I am finding the best support can be from a total stranger who is walking in the same shoes I am.Just very anxious of chemo. Will be on TC for 6 rounds of 21 day intervals. Then 10 years of Femara....well...I am getting anxious. But I have a great faith in the Lord. That catches you up to who I am.I will asking a lot of personal questions I'm sure....0May 2016

Hoping and praying that you are doing well. You are a strong lady to endure all the challenges you have faced. I am halfway thru Taxol and then "looking forward" to radiation! The "lost year" is almost over.0May 2016
