Hi there, I had the same cancer. The tumor I had was on the hard palate of my mouth. I am here if you need to talk. How did your spouse first get to know he had cancer? I've been told from docs that MEC is a slow growing cancer. Im sorry to hear that your husband's MEC metastasized. Do you think he had the cancer for a long time and did not know? I had felt a hard bump on the roof of mouth and and had it biopsied and that is how I found out I had cancer.
Its hard to give advice to others who are going through this scary nightmare of cancer. What else is there to say but all the cliche statements? But they are true, all you can do is look for the positive and take it all one day at a time. When I had cancer, it felt like a scary nightmare I was never going to wake up from. I did a lot of praying which comforted me in many ways. My family was extremely supportive, and my unborn child at the time (I was 5months pregnant when diagnosed) kept me to be strong and not fall into a depression which I think I would have been in if I hadn't been pregnant.
You & your spouse are in my prayers.0September 2013 -
