Hi, Shoeless. Some of us WN old timers are writing to others who haven’t been on WN recently, to find out how they are. We’d love to hear how you’re doing.0April 2021

Me again You wrote: "I'm sorry my truth hurts so many people's feelings. I'll be sure to refrain from doing that again."
I sure hope you DO NOT refrain from giving your thoughts and opinions. They are at least as valuable as those of any other person on this site! (I would venture to say encouraging someone to LIVE rather than worry about hair might be MORE valuable than some comments ... but that's just me...)
Happy Friday!0March 2019 -
For the record, I'm right there with you. I'm so glad to still be alive that what my hair or my face or my fat body looks like is tolerable because I'm still alive to care that I've gained way too much weight that I can't get rid of and that I've aged 20 years in 6 years...
I would RATHER look like I did before cancer, but that's not what is in the cards...
Congratulations on 18 years survivorship!!! Is that really true?? Wow!!!0March 2019 -
Hi, I was sort of happy about getting cancer. I thought that I'd die and escape statin pain. Only 3 different oncologists told me that it would probably take over a year to die, and it's probably the most painful type. It's attracted to bones, and science proved that it releases sulfuric acid when it drills through.
I was offered an experimental radiation. I was told that I'd probably die from radiation poisoning- I figured that would be quicker than the cancer. So, I happily told the radiologist- where do I sign up for this? I was almost in a snit that I lived and was cured.0February 2018 -
Hello! I first found you in reading your post in the can you help section. It seems like many have joint/muscle pain, and seems to get worse with Chemo treatments.
My mom was just diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer, and when in for a pneumonectomy of the right lung due to the placement of her tumor being in the center of the upper and lower lung, they found the cancer in her lymph nodes.
I worry about the joint and muscle pain, she already has a lot of this and I was worried it was caused by cancer.
I like reading your wall, very inspiring! So happy for you!!!!!!!!! Gives me hope for my mom.0January 2013 -
Welcome to WhatNext. I'm a lung cancer survivor, diagnosed September 2011.
I've been through the lobectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, and am at the 1 year mark from having been diagnosed.
I have found WhatNext to be a great supportive group here. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can message me directly, or post to my wall - I always try to respond.0September 2012 -
