Dear muffin--your labs, biopsy and scan results belong to you. By law, you are supposed to have them availiable to you.

Contact your insurance company. If they don't help you-write some letters-receipt returned to prove you wrote the letter, and the lab received the letter. Also-find the clinic's email address- and email them to get record. That alone should solve your problem. If not- go online to the state medical-health department and complain. you need to do this to help yourself in the future and to help other people. Good luck and hugs

I also had a GIST, but luckily it was small, & I just had surgery with no chemo. I didn't have too much trouble with the process, but had a nasty surgeon and a terrible hospital. I could write a book about those people!
Your chemo sounds so scary, and you are brave to go thru it, but remember, if the cure is worse than the problem, you just might have your doctors re-think the cure. You are the boss of your body.

I didn't know that I had stage 4 colon cancer for several days later. My son is my care giver. I was taken to one hospital with bad pain in my stomach they put in the ambulance and sent me to another hospital to another doctor and put me into emerg. surgery When I woke up they told me that I needed more surgery It was three weeks later because I did not weigh or strong to make through the surgery. I have three sisters two older and one younger they are doing find and so is our mother . we lost our father last year .I was not told that l had cancer until after the second surgery. Both of our Great Grandparents on my Father side had caner Grandmother died at 56 years with stomach cancer and Grandfather died at 96 he live 10 years after his colon cancer. I am now almost three cancer free it was hard on me but I am here to talk about it. I would love to sit down with someone that has gone though this and just talk . I live alone and don' t have a car and I have to walk with a walker. Sorry i need to go . Best of Luck
