Molly, we haven't heard from you for a while, and I have been wondering how you are doing? I know this site is all over the place, but we are trying to make sense of it! Carool posted her monthly question, and of course, it is on her wall because nothing gets posted under QUESTIONS anymore (ugh!). Anyway, if you didn't get a digest to alert you to the question you wouldn't be aware of it. I just wanted to let you know in case you want to join in the discussion. (and catch us up as to how you are these days?)0October 2021

Hi, i was following you all along. I'm looking at your wall and profile. My father, his sister, my mother's father, and 2 of his sister-in-laws all died from cancer in the small intestine. When I met my husband, I told him that I'd probably die from stomach cancer by 45. He married me anyway.
I never talked about this with my brother. When I reached 45-I'm 79 now-my Hubby took me out to a really fine restaurant. When my bro reached 45, we went out again. I sent my bro a congratulations on surviving. That we went out to a really fine place to eat for me, and for him. That I always thought I'd be dead, but I didn't want to be negative with him-he's younger.
When I was 45, my Bro took his wife to Tokyo to celebrate that I wasn't dead from cancer. Then they went to Tokyo to celebrate my brother's life on his birthday. He never talked to me about it before because he didn't want to be negative with me. My bro was so scared of the cancer that he never had any children-and I thought it didn't affect him because he was younger. I don't mean to be negative by sharing this with you.0July 2021 -
Hello Am I correct that you had the problem with Parotid Gland removed. I had this done years ago and have had pain ever since the same as you and cannot even touch behind my ear. It is so painful it is debilitating but my Doctor just ignores my symptoms.0January 2021

i don't like all of the often shrill screaming hosts/hostesses -that isn't news nor entertainment. They certainly would put 1890 fisherman's wives to shame. I also don't like the 'how a woman should do it', those are pretty much like a lively conversations about drying paint or how to wipe your rear end.
What they call comedy seems to be about vomit, etc.0September 2019 -
Hi, Molly! I thought I’d posted a response to your recent wall post, but I don’t see it here, so I’ll write again.
Re geekling - Occasionally, we PM on Facebook and go back and forth a little, and then we stop until something else prompts her to me.
As for heathens, yes, either there really aren’t many of us here or those others stay silent on this sometimes sensitive topic.0March 2019 -
I live in New Mexico- Walmarts and CVS are horrible. They have shoot outs at all of them- car jackings. They'll drive real slow and grab an old lady's purse, while they are driving. Most women have their purses over the shoulder. If the purse strap doesn't break, the women are dragged around the parking lot breaking bones and getting skinned alive. They spend months in the hospital.
I had the habit of putting one or both hands behind my back and staring at my students til they finished talking-- My students thought that I had a gun or knife in my waist band.
So, this summer, i'm carrying those flats of water bottles to my Mustang. I parked way down alone, so I don't have to worry so much about being jumped. Having been a cowboy and gang teacher, I keep my eyes open. This man was walking parallel to me in another row, and another man was walking toward me-coming at angles. I set my water on my trunk. I turned around and backed up to my car. I put my right hand behind my back and stared at them. They both stopped, and they turned around and went the other way. i put the water in the car and got out of there
And that's one of the better ones. My son goes to the one that has a bit over 20 police responses a day. About 4 months ago, I decided. to go to a Pet Smart that's in another WalMart strip mall.
Do you know that it takes hours to get home during a shoot out? This poor kid just got out of the Academy- and he ends up in a shoot out the first day. Back up came and killed the shooter. Then his next duty day---he stopped to help a stranded motorist-and they shot at him too. The car was filled with drugs. This time he pulled his gun and got them.
At Walmart, he never drew his gun--he thought that he wasn't allowed to because he was new. The experienced cops told him that he was already experienced. We are having so many gun fights here--at least twice a week.0December 2018 -
Thank you Molly,
Tumor, gland, and 6 nodes were benign. I guess I didn't realize how extensive this surgery was. But, I am very satisfied with the outcome. No paralysis other than a crooked smile. I had it done at Mayo. I guess my only question would be how long it took to regain feeling and my old smile back? 6 months? 1-2 years? And my ear looks like cauliflower0October 2018 -
I read that you like the Nano towels. My question is do they come clean well. I have tried several eco friendly brands and they all get stuff and pretty nasty after use.0October 2018

Molly, did you see where this "Leroy" posted that spam piece at? It's an answer to a question, that's all I know. Thanks if you know where it's at.0October 2018

Molly- in the past we've had very shy or private First Ladies-Bess Truman comes to mind. Then Mamie Eisenhower, who had a bad heart condition. I thought that Rosalynn Carter was fairly private.
No matter what a First Lady does, there is somebody that disagrees and finds fault. Melanie has earned my respect, and I'm a raging Progressive Democrat. I think that she is the only sane person in the WH. She has dignity and she tries hard.0August 2018 -
Molly, many thanks for your support (re my fears now and our fears about our country)! Very much appreciated. Hugs back! Love, Carol0June 2018

Molly,
How are you? I haven't seen you posting lately, and I wondered how your back pain is. I finally went to the Rehabilitation Medicine physician and was prescribed physical therapy, which I haven't gone to yet. My later goal is surgery because I think I've dealt with this long enough, and there are lots of laser surgeries for the back that wouldn't be too difficult for me. I was told I have some nerves that are pinched.
I've missed you posting about pain control and opioids, and I hope you are OK. Best wishes.

Since you asked us for ideas, I wanted to ask if you've taken the usual medicines for RA, and seen an orthopedic specialist to see if they can relieve your bone on bone problem with surgery? (I have the same disk problem and am planning to check into surgery, but my PCP wants me to try physical therapy first.)
Since inflammation is a part of RA, have you looked into foods to avoid that cause inflammation?
My PCP wrote me a prescription for a rollator, but I haven't shopped for it yet. She said Walmart's weren't as good as the ones from a medical equipment store.
Have a good day!0May 2018 -
Hello. I asked Greg to give me your email or give mine to you. I love your sense of humor and thought we might be able to get to know each other better via email ot text or FB.

Hi @Molly72. The magnesium cream is ReAlLy really good. I still have pain but it has gone from sharp to dull and I can be more flexible. I may go dancing! Seriously.
I am so amazed that I called the dude (Tom) to thank him. He says the oil is easily absorbed and acts as a blood vessel dilator allowing more oxygen to get where you rub.
I am quite grateful. For 2 days now I have been using it twice a day on my lower back and neck. It is really quite awesome!!! I showed him the picture I put up on the pinboard. He thanked me! He started the company, it seems, with his retirement funds. He uses the products too.
Call him directly. He promised me a small discount for folks who contacted him through that note I posted. Call the company and tell them you saw the note Kathy posted. 8 28 8 17 17 26 The phone numbers are put together oddly to hopefully escape the censors
Tom is very .. I thanked him for hearing me when I stopped by his booth and he asked permission to pray for me. I said, lol, sure. I believe him to be both an honest fella, a humble man, and full of gratitude too. I teared up a tad and left him with a hug. It wasnt until the next day when I used the stuff that I got excited. This is better than a pill. It acts quickly and there are no oddball fillers.
Big hugs.0March 2018 -

@Molly72 you are always good for a laugh and I thank you. I can wear earings and necklaces and rings (in case you need a diamond donee) but I need to slowly trade them in for the price of constant new underwear. People really dont understand the barbarism of "treatment". Hugs & good health 2 u0February 2018

Hi Molly72, there may be icky sweeteners ir chemicals in some storebought tea. I like herbal teas. I dont know if you like that or green tea or black but may I suggest that it may be the sweetener you are using which clouds up you teas?
Try a liquid sweetener like honey and see if that doesnt make a difference. BTW, are you using bagged tea or loose tea which you must strain?
Have a lovely evening.0January 2018 -

I know a lot of nice people from Michigan. You are the only nice person I have run into who is in Michigan. :-)
Wishing you well.0December 2017 -
You're funny and sweet. We had Halloween stolen from us by corporate takeover. I am not sure I ever believed the knives in the apples story but it sure took a home holiday and made it into retail.0September 2017

Molly72, you are a dear sweet heart.
How would you like to help, my Darling?
I was at my house today. Dangerous as traffic lights arent working so well and trees make major roads into one lane traffic. No power. Cats are spooked. Changed their water. Gave more food. Cleaned litter box and opened all the shutters andthe windows a crack. No power. I am worried about the bit of wet carpet left in the house getting moldy quickly. Elec company says they dont know when power will be on again. Too hot for workman to want to work inside. Time to get a grant or a mortgage. Sigh.0September 2017 -
Molly- Asian Buddhaist are the same way with missionaries and pressure. I was conflicted with Japan after WW II I'd see the monks mourning the lives of dead flies, mounds of them from DDT, yet I knew about the horrendous human civilian death toll in Manilla alone. I knew about the rape of Nanking by the Japanese.
It's good that immigrants build temples and mosques to worship at, but it's naive to think that individuals of other religions don't proselytize. How do you think that Mongolians converted to Buddhaism and stopped being bloody warriors? Buddhaist missionaries. They are very proud of their missionary work.
My brother converted to Buddhaism, and it's completely a non-issue between us.
I think that you are a kind person-actually exceptionally nice-- I'm sorry if I insulted you. You certainly show your respect for core values.
By the way-- Preach it, means you are Telling the truth by unchurched people-it's a fairly common thing here at community meetings0August 2017 -
Hi Molly! I have had a ton of surgeries, biochemotherapy, interferon, Yervoy, TIL, and I am still here! We are melanoma survivors. I have had it since 2009. It's amazing that you have had it since the sixties. Even in 2009 there wasn't much treatment. I hope you are doing well now. I am hanging in there. I am glad to meet you!0July 2017

Thanx, Molly72. I have been freaked out. It goes numb sometimes and that right ankle swells. Was your site yellow where it wasnt healing? Everything was good until I popped a stitch. I dont think she sewed me up right. Anyways, with luck (fingers crossed) I will be healed in time for the River Discovery trip in August!! If they let still allow a broken down specimen like me go.
I very much appreciate you responding to me. Kindest regards & best wishes.
