So, would you be mad if I made a joke and said: Keep it Krassy, San Diego?

Welcome to WhatNext.com. I grew up in San Diego and lived there for many years. Del Cerro, La Jolla, and Lakeside. What part of America's Finest City are you in? I'm still a diehard Padres fan and would be a Chargers fan but since they moved, there's no point...

I'm a fellow ovarian/fallopian tube survivor. I was originally diagnosed in 2013 at stage IV. The initial treatment was rough but I made it through. My life has changed a lot. Since the original diagnosis, I've had two recurrences and am currently undergoing chemo with Avastin and Topotecan. It's not what I envisioned for my life, but I'm still here and always hopeful.

Please take some time to explore this site and check out the links, resources, Pinboard, and questions pages. The information there is great. The rest of us here are also happy to connect and answer your questions about our cancer journeys and how you can navigate the changes to come.

Best of luck! Hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome to What Nest Krassy... I was 62 when diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer... Did six 28 day cycles of Chemo. Day 1 was I/V, Days 2 and 8 were I/P infusions... After I completed that I did 12 months .of once a month I/V infusions.... I showed cancer free. Then I did checks ever 3 months for a year, every 6 months for 2 years - once a year... and then back to my GP.....I do get a CA125 every year.... I celebrated my 75th birthday the end of May. At the beginning of my journey, I told God how scared I was.. (terrified) - my fear left immediately. Then I asked Him to take my hand and lead me to where He wanted me to be... Here I am sharing with you. I pray you'll take His hand also. May God Bless you!

Hi Krause, welcome to WhatNext. I am a fellow California Lady too, living way up North near Redding. Since you were diagnosed 4 months ago, did you have chemo prior to your debulking surgery? I was diagnosed back in 2013 at the age of 66 with stage IIIC undifferentiated Ovarian Cancer. I know how scary all this is and came to WhatNext seeking additional information and added support. I have benefitted greatly over the years from both. I encourage you to ask questions of the community, and get in touch with other survivors on their walls. Also the pinboard can inspire or give you a smile when you need it the most None of the treatments for thdisease are easy, but they are DOABLE! Take things one day at a time and be kind to yourself. Drink plenty of fluids during chemo and eat what appeals to you- there are no specific dietary rules. Some survivors have cravings, I craved potatoe salad . I would be happy to talk to you anytime lady.
