Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. Also, I was wondering if you would consider making a video for WhatNext sometime in the future similar to the one made by kalindria. We have so many newly diagnosed and recurrent ladies visiting the site. I. Know you’ve experiences would be very helpful. Sending you wheelbarrows of support and hoping this new cocktail does the trick.0April 2019

I am sorry to read you have not yet kicked cancer to the curb permanently. There is good reason for optimism though and many tools in that medical tool chest. I am not sure you will lose your hair, I know Taxol was the culprit for me during frontline treatment. Did your doctor say you would have hair loss?0April 2019

Kirvin, how are you doing lady. See your interest in maintenance drugs, are you presently on a maintenance drug or in a clinical trial?0April 2019

((((Kirvin))) Some hugs just for you... Welcome to our WhatNext family... I'm sorry you had to look for us. I just want to let you know that I was 62 when diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian Cancer. I was terrified... I immediately told God how scared I was... My fear left me... I asked Him to take my hand and lead me to where HE wanted me to be. The Gynecologic Oncologist Surgeon I was referred to looked like Doogy Houser (if you remember that show).. did the surgery. He removed a 39 pound tumor, both my ovaries, and all the cancer he could see, from my intestines and urethra. A few hours later, I asked him how long I had.... he said six months. I told him I wanted to fight to live... He said "You want to fight... we'll fight"... We started chemo both I/V infusions and I/P (Intraperitoneal) infusions. We fought for almost two years... I was diagnosed 25 January 2006... Surgery 23 February 2006...I have been CANCER FREE for ten years .... since three days ago. Please know that you can beat this. We're all in your corner, and you do know that our Lord wants only Good for you!!!0February 2016

Hi Kirvin and welcome to WhatNext.com!
Let me add my name to the list of stage IV survivors - mine was fallopian tube cancer. My scans have shown no evidence of disease for two years now and I'm ecstatic and back to the business of living life again.
I know you've already jumped right in with questions, and joined in the discussions. Hopefully the responses have been helpful. This is an awesome site and we really do understand what you're going through. Welcome!0February 2016 -

Sorry Kirvin I am late welcoming you to the site but for some reason the posting of your arrival on the site was in my junk mail. This happens for some strange reason from time to time. Saw your posted question and did give a lengthy answer. Glad you are reaching out to the community. Feel free to talk to the community anytime on their walls and keep us updated on your journey. All of us care.0February 2016

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/ovarian-and-fallopian-tube-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join.
