Thank you for sharing your story. It has not been an easy one at all. But I guess it's not supposed to be easy. I appreciate the perseverance you've shown in sticking to it. Continue taking care of yourself. Don't ignore the little things. Easy to do but perhaps not anymore.

Hi KateMarie! Thanks for sharing your story. I am glad your doing well now and living life to the fullest. I too am a caregiver at heart and don't take enough time for me. I am slowly changing that. And, I look forward to the end of chemo and getting back on track with exercising normally. I am also eating ,ore fruits and veggies and no sugar. Have a greatnm

I hope everything is going well as you recover from surgery. This is a really good site for getting details about what people similar to you have experienced, and I've found it really helps me to know within reason what I might expect. This helps to lower my anxiety about future tests, treatments, and possible side effects. So don't hesitate to ask questions of any of us.

Hi KateMarie. Welcome to the club. One thing that I did that was very helpful was bring a trusted friend to treatment plan appointments as a scribe. I'd shoot her off email questions for "the list" and she added a few of her own and we came armed with over 100 questions that we wanted answers too and "I don't know" is an answer:-) I'm probably just like any other newly diagnosed person. All I heard was 'you have cancer" (blah blah blah) you're going to die (even though that's not was said blah blah blah) and we need someone trusted to write stuff down so we can make informed decisions and choices with as much information as we can gather . (I try to verify info given me as best I can). It's your life, your "boat" so take the helm and do what you must.

when my oncologist/surgeon said I needed a hysterectomy I looked him in the eye and said if I didn't NEED it and he didn't like the LOOK of it to take it OUT. Which he did. Some of my friends have been supportive. Some have decided that I needed to be counseled on doing the "right thing" and it didn't seem to matter to them if I agreed or not. I simply will not talk to them about my disease or treatment. I love them, I'll talk with them on any other subject under the sun but if they can't support my very personal journey then they can't be a part of it. Period.
