Thank you for your thoughts and experience of the radiation treatments for my son with Non-Hodgkin's. I really worry about the short and long term effects of radiation. I am concerned that direct radiation to his neck and head, where the largest tumor was located, might cause a different cancer. Did you ever wonder if the external radiation that you received caused your Squamous Cell Carcinoma, years later?

Yes- I went into a GI and reported what meds made me worse. I got a new GI because I was so furious with the GI in Jan.. The eFFing SOB never wrote down what meds made me sick. The new one is a sweety and we went over all of the meds and diets that made me sick since Thanksgiving when my stomach med was held hostage.
I have a UPS deliveryman scared of me-he should be-2 weeks ago I told him and his boss that he lies. I promised my network and onc clinic if I have a repeat of Fri that I will stand in the waiting room and scream. My name was called-I went to the nurse and old friends ran up-they hugged and talked in Spanish for 20 minutes. I kept thinking that any second-she would take me to the exam room. I told my Dr. and Pres-the clerks that now I know that won't happen- and I'll have a very public fit then and there. I kept telling her in Spanish that I was getting over the flu- and she kept telling me in English that she was giving directions-Oh SI- I think that I hold the record for being lost in Espana and Mexico. I know all of the words in Spanish directions, little right, strong right, esquina the sharp point of a corner, rincon the inside of a corner that you have your naughty child stand in, different types of rooms and building, the first floor is what we call the second story. The first story is called the ground floor. I know all of the colors, types of houses, roofs, and doors.
I have always been good in getting lost. I also know the Spanish words and slang terms for every family member. cree te lo.

I just read your comment on the thread Port a cath problems. I read your response and it sounds close to what I might have to do. Did you have to undergo surgery again when you got it replaced? As in under anesthesia?

When I am feeling truly hopeless I think of your journey. How much you have survived and I know there had to be times you felt hopeless. Did it just suddenly flip at some point and say ok im going to get through this despite all the set backs and terribleness? I'm really trying but keep getting hit with bad news. Thanks for any thoughts!

Hi Greg, is chemo brain with all chemo treatments or just chemo in the head area. I've had two different areas of cancer. Jaw and lung, but aside from side effects I'm doing fine. It is what it is.

My wife was diagnosed with Peritroal cancer right after Thansgiving. She is in her second round of Chemo. I'm worried if she will get chemo brain. Today she will be in Boston all day.
She has two ports. One in the upper chest near shoulder and the other in stomach area. They will do both areas today. Next week just the stomach. Following week off. Three week deal. She went through the first set with only minor problems. 6 sets in all.
I'm hoping it will be the same for the others.
I have problems forgetting from radiation but no where's as bad as what some of the members describe.
You have been through the mill. Hope your doing better.

I wonder if it's the time, but this wouldn't post. Live with Cancer is the only person that I agree with. Because of the poisoning from Statin, my Achilles don't hold up too well- and anything at all seems to hit my legs first. I do wood work. take pics of my hounds. Tonight I cooked a Hawaiian-Japanese beef dish with Okinawan sticky rice. Any of you that say- Aha- she does eat plant based food----No--it was thinly sliced chuck sauteed with fresh garlic, a small fresh tomato, and a bit of green pepper. It's the sauce for the meat. Why they post on home pages, I don't know

I'm having the same problem in some posting links being dead. Sometimes it doesn't take a short comment. Sometimes I cut, close what next-open it up paste and it still won't post. I can go to some ones home page and open it. I can click on the more questions. but the comment cannot be posted with the question.

Hey Greg, I'm finally back for good lol....I have missed not being able to get on here. I went under diagnoses and noticed there are things like arthritis etc...are we covering more things besides just helping those with cancer? I hope that didn't come out wrong lol....

#1-the couch on the side walk is gone.
#2- Middle School kids called the city and complained about it for me, because everyday 311 said it would be picked up tomorrow and tomorrow never came
#3-The last 311 operator was scared that I'd really put Christmas tree lights on it, take pics for Instagram, FB, local news, and it was finally picked up. The first day I was given a reference number-and on following days each operator could look it up.

I'm one of the people that sometimes can't post on a thread-others have complained about the post link not working.
