Cindy, sorry you are here..I see you have asked several time son this site for people to tell you about clinical trials.. I wish it were that easy. Its not. You need to take charge of the situation and learn all you can about your cancer's mutations and then search for a trial on your own and ask your Dr. for a trial as well.

I cannot stress how important it is to take charge and push for your treatments. This is the fight of your life. It take real work and investigation every day until you come up with a plan that feels right and makes sense,

Keep watching regarding the immunotherapy. My oncologist told me that the FDA will be approving an immunotherapy med sometime this summer that he intends to prescribe for me no clinical trial needed.

Good Luck with your treatment. Stay hydrated once it starts and know that you have plenty of support and people willing to share who are going through this as well. They are inspiring, positive people.

Hi Cindy0121. I am so sorry to see that you have recently joined the club everyone hopes to avoid, but I am delighted that you found us here at WhatNext. It is terrifying and overwhelming to receive a diagnosis of lung cancer. Please know that there are many here who will lend a shoulder, share their experiences, and be here to walk with you down this road. Welcome!

Good luck. Stay positive. Concentrate on nutrition to keep your immune system going. I hope side effects of treatments are as small for you as they are for me.

Hi Cindy, welcome to What Next. So sorry for what has brought you here but I believe you will quickly feel love and support for your journey ahead. I am 70, diagnosed 1/14 with non-operable NSCLC. I received two chemo treatments, first shrunk my tumor significantly and the second, it showed slight growth. From there I started a clinical trial with NIVOLUMAB, Infusion every two weeks and it has kept my tumor stable since 7/2014. If you have any questions please post on the question pages and I am sure you will find others that have experienced what you are dealing with now. Prayers and Hugs for a successful treatment plan.

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
