    Hi Samcharlie,

I see that back east has been getting some snow, do you dogs like it? My pup is actually 6 yrs old, he just turned 6 on Nov. 24th but he is my baby so I refer to him as a pup :) He is a chow chow and he is loving the snow but we can both do without the -50* that we had just last week here in Montana. My sister lives in N.J. and thinks I am nuts walking my furbaby when the temps are that low lol. I'm sure that once I see my drs next month one of them will be able to figure out the exhaustion issue for me. I do realize that since I have other health issues it makes it more challenging but hey whats life without challenge right? Well I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Cancer FREE New Year.

    Hi Samcharlie,

Thanks for your advice :) I do take meds for my thyroid along with meds for other health issues that I live with on a daily basis in addition to the cancer. Since I have and appt with my endo just after the new year I will see if the meds need to be upped. I only had the masectomy this time around even though the onc. wanted me to have chemo. I chose not to have chemo because the side effects for me weren't worth the risks. One of the side effects was damage to the heart and since I had open heart surgery 40 yrs ago when I was 11 yrs old and already know I face another one I just couldn't take the risks. I do refuse to ever give up and to look at me you would never know just how sick I actually am unless its and extremely bad day at which time I don't go anywhere other than walk the pup. I walk my furbaby 3x's a day for and hour at a time min sometimes its 2 hrs depending on the weather. He keeps me going and knows when I am sick. So again thanks for your advice. I wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR.

Hi Samcharlie, I just viewed your journey and you never what will click to help you relate. I got the resulsts of my biopsies the day before I left for vacation. The doc asked me if I wanted to know before vacation and I said absolutely. It didn't change the awesome time I had. Good luck to you. :)

Hi Sam. Welcome to What Next. There are lots of great people here. It has to truly stink, not just to be diagnosed w/cancer, but during vacation? I'm so sorry. This is a great site to ask questions, seek confirmation that what you are feeling isn't unusual and to get some empathy when you need. I'm glad you found us but sorry for the circumstances that led you here. Wishing you all the best.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
