    Dear Rachel,

Pain can start anytime, not just in "late stage". I'd ask the doctor for a referral to pain management to work this up and suggest solutions. Love to you and your Dad.

Hi Rachael. You could email me the info on support groups in the area or message me. Whichever is most convenient for you. I would appreciate the information. Hope all is going well for you. Was at St. F. yesterday to see Dr. S for 3 month checkup. He seems like such a kind man. As usual the staff was very considerate and kind.

We went out to dinner at a fancy resturant, and now we are planning a trip to see the Red Woods in California.

Thank you so much for your answer!
It's true there's a lot of confusion, and truth is since I started therapy I started to feel more relief with the numbness and stiffness of my neck! I started gaining more movement and I was feeling happy with my improvements but now I'm kinda scared wondering wether it is good or not. I would love to contact the person you have but I live in Mexico :/. What I'll try to do is to search for some therapist trained in oncology as you suggested, I haven't thought about that. For now, my therapist said he rather talks to my oncology surgeon first... To see if he actually agrees that I continue with the therapy.
Thanks a lot for your answer. :))

Hi, I don't know if you saw my reply about your suggestion of getting a new doctor-I did. I'm locked into a health system, but I found a doctor in the system that practices at another clinic. Part of my problems is that my temp is 95-96. When I said this to his staff, the woman said "Oh my, mine is 97 and it goes down when I have a fever. He takes such good care of me. If he can understand me, he certainly can take care of you." It's so nice to know that I'll have a doctor that touches my forehead, or puts his hands on the back of my neck to see if I do have a fever.

I just don't know what to say to the old doc. If he can't figure out what 6 months of hypothyroid can do to a body, what can I say. The clinic is so large, that I'd be better off talking to the primary clinic director-A way to start this is asking if the clinic takes care of diabetics? I know they do. Then ask if they reduce tests for thyroid
or strep to reduce clinic costs. I'm also going to tell her that his EHR notes aren't that great. I'm telling her that he's been a really good doctor but he failed me this spring- I'm 71. I don't know how much I can regain. This is what happened to me in 6 months-In Nov. I had part of my nose-lip removed from cancer, went through high dosage radiation, had a tonsillectomy, unresolved strep, unresolved hypothyroidism, dog bite that the ER didn't treat right, hospitalization for the dog bite, and being sent home from the hospital without any antibiotics. When I was fighting with oncology to get a less obnoxious doctor-one that could understand why I didn't want the right side of my face cut off-including bone, nose, teeth, eye-I never contacted my primary care doctor for help, advice, etc. I never bugged him about that. I never bugged him or my radiologist during radiation about what was going on with that. Since I didn't have an oncologist, I certainly didn't bother anyone, except for demanding the clinic that I needed a real doctor-get me one.

That's great Rachel. Did not know that there was a Cancer Center there. Assume you are connected to a Monastary?

Hi RachelC. Were you by any chance in the St. Francis Cafe Terrace today around noon? I was at the hospital for a test and my parents and I went to the Cafe for lunch. Thought I saw you from across the dining area but wasn't sure. whether or not you were there, have a good weekend.

Hi RachaelC- I had a lobectomy this past September at St. Francis. I had several complications. I wanted to let you know the staff in the Cardiac Care Unit were superb. They were very caring and compassionate. I hope everyone having to go through such an experience is fortunate enough to have the staff I did.
