First, I love your picture. You are so pretty. Second, very similar. I am 51. I found my lumps on my breast in early November. Called the doctor 11/14/13 and was diagnosed 12/19/13. Had my first surgery bilateral mastectomies 2/17/14, and 2nd surgery axillary lymph node dissection 3/3/14. I am also stage III. I am IIIa. Her2-, ER +, and PR+. I had bilateral tumors. I had 2 tumors on the right side. One tumor on the left side, plus the start of another. Also, several lymph nodes were affected. I tried and tried to get in for treatment from 11/14/13 until 2/17/14, but the doctors office doesn't get so concerned and then when they get in there it is oops, it was worse then we thought. I got so mad, because I had called and called and called and they don't get in any hurry. I thought about getting a second opinion but figured that would only make it longer. I had a bad post op infection and high temp after my second surgery and called the dr. Again, they blew me off. If it doesn't get better in 24 hours call your gp. Which I had to do, and ended up going to see the next day. They added another antibiotic and 4 days later I was still running 102.7. But, my surgeon just drove me crazy, because he didn't take me serious. I was doing so good, and then it was like back to scratch 1 again. I had the infection in my axillary site, plus a yeast infection. Then last week, my blood pressure was 228/128 and a UTI. Again, nobody wants to do anything. I just wish the doctors would take me seriously. I am to start chemo 4/16/14. I am scheduled for 20 weeks. First 8 weeks every other, then 12 in a row. After which they will do another evaluation and then probably radiation for a month. I would love to see how your treatment has been and how you are doing.
