I too live in MI, a very small town called Pewamo. It is between Grand Rapids and Lansing. I am just beginning this journey so I may need to ask you some questions along the way.

Callejal, I am sorry you are dealing with relationship issues on top of your cancer diagnoses.
For me my relationship with my partner had always been a priority in my life.
I have been a widow for 5 yrs (I had a great marriage!) I took care of my husband until his death from cancer.
A few months before my diagnosis I finally met a man that I was really interested in being with after going out with a number of men I wasn't interested in. I felt like it was a miracle that he had come into my life. But I was always getting sick, changing plans and finally I said let's stop seeing each other until I am better. I told him I would call him. He had text me and asked me how I was and I told him I will see you when I am better. That was before my diagnosis which has been recent. After my diagnosis I mourned the loss of what I thought would have been a good partner and froze. I don't seem to be able to tell him my diagnosis yet I feel like he deserves to know. Then cancer steps in and says I am a priority! and I forget it for a while.
I hope your relationship problems work out without much interference in your health. Take care.

Callejal: Welcome to the Whatsnext family. Wow, what a different experience. I was wondering what kind of active treatment did you have and for how long? We each have a little different experience, but we are all fighting the beast known as Cancer. Keep up the hard work. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/multiple-myeloma

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
