Hi, Blondee. I'm NED ( no evidence of disease) from serous uterine cancer. Stage 2 Grade 3. I could not do internal radiation, vagina shrunk. No outside, Dr. said do me more harm than good. I had no nausea from chemo but the neuropathy hangover my biggest complaint. I've had radiation before and it can do a number on your bowels so follow their suggestions. Sounds as if you have wonderful plans for next Spring. When you are on this site for a while you will see you are one of the " lucky ones." While this cancer does have a bad recurrence rep you were caught early. I finished treatment January 2014. Had first hair trim this weekend.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. I'm sorry you're having to go through so much treatment for stage 1, but killing it good is probably best. I was diagnosed at stage IIIC, so I had the same treatment you are receiving. It was tough and the radiation was difficult for me because of the diarrhia. It is good that your doc told you to take the Immodium proactively. That might have helped me. My rad onc wasn't real worried about my side effects. I was so dehydrated when I finished radiation that my gyn onc had to treat me for uti, I.V., blood transfusion. This could have been prevented. My rad onc checked me for dehydration, but still did nothing to help me. I was so glad when I was through with him. Now, my follow ups are with a nurse practioner, who talks to me and tries to alleviate my residual symptoms. Best of luck to you, and hopefully you will make your travel plans.
