Hello, thank you for your answer regarding brachy. Just went back and read through your post for a bit. You seem to have an upbeat and positive tone. I feel I am doing the right thing by foregoing the external after one horrible week and instead doing the brachy and chemo. Only the future will tell but reading your journey does give me more peace. Thank you. Im 45 with a young daughter still so really weighing every detail, researching praying.

Glad to see a long term survivor of UPSC. I was diagnosed in October '12 and finished treatment in May. I went to MD Anderson since my onc. gave me the impression he did not know how to treat this cell type. I know I did the right thing, I came home after vaginal radiation there and had the chemo here. I still get panicky at times having this rare form of cancer.

Hi, I did ask the dr about doing both but he told me only 3 sessions he said no chemo is recommended for 1a but since it is upsc I should have the 3. Believe me I have worried about this, but I have to reassure myself that the dr knows more then I do. I guess 3 is an unusual amount, from the comments I have received, but everyone insists my dr is an expert in this and shouldn't be questioned. I hope this is the way to go, guess time will tell. Thank goodness your treatment worked so well for you.

Thanks, I tried to join CSN I am registered but can't sign in or get any response when I try to contact them, so I gave up. I hope my dr is aggressive with the treatment plan. Have a nice weekend.

Hi debrajo9, I'm seeing my surgeon on Monday to discuss my treatment. My tests came back stage l a , the assisting surgeon told me that they thought it was stage lll because of something that was found in my tubes, what I can't remember. She said I will probably have chemo because of it being upsc but unsure of radiation at that stage. I am thinking of what to say because I do want an aggressive treatment. Of course I'm not a doctor. I'm going to write down what you had done and ask if it would be for me.

Hi debrajo9, Hope all is well with you. I had my surgery July 12th and I'm feeling good. My lab tests are in, waiting to hear the results. I should hear something today, anxious, but nothing to do but wait for the phone call.

Hi Debra, I went in to sign my op papers today and found out my surgery was changed from July 8th to July 12th. No idea what treatments I will have after that, probably depends on the staging. I will gratefully take any advice you have to offer.

Hi Debra, Your three years of NED has brightened my day. It actually made me smile. I also have UPSC, after checking it out on the internet I've been secretly pretty gloomy. Wish you continued good health, Thanks
