hi ....I was diagnosed with prostate cancer nine months ago and I also have a-fibs so in that regard our cases are very similar I have been thru 44 radiation treatments and am on Lupron every three months so far every thing is going well. I am under the care of a heart doctor for a-fibs so they are keeping track of it. I forgot to mention that I also had a gleason 8. we have a lot in common so keep your chin up and we'll get thru my prayers are with you.0July 2013

Hi Tom
Thanks for your input. Your decision is you own but if you researched full time for three weeks as I did after my diagnosis you might think differently.
I'm 70 now and feel just fine.
I visit my urologist every 6 months. My PSA went down more than 10% since 6 months ago.
Every case is individual. In my case I went to Mayo Clinic and, after the biopsy had all the other tests done to see if it spread. It had not. (has yours?)
My quality of life is most important. How long I live is totally unimportant. I also did extensive research about the after effects of surgery. Hope you've done the same. Would be happy to share my findings with you anytime. Ed Heemskerk 8439 East Club Road, Boca Raton, Fl. 33433 561-395-1661 edheemskerk1942@gmail.com0July 2013 -
Hello tom, I am also new at this. I have already had the bone and cat scans, and am currently looking at treatment options. This is all new to me too. I have no suggestions, but just wanted to wish you well.0July 2013
