Sandy, that you so much for posing on my wall about the low grade cancer. After my first surgery and chemo treatment I immediately had pain in my legs. I used to run and never had a problem with my knee joints. The pain increased steadily and could not walk without pain and tears. The last year I finally had two knee replacements (one just a few months ago). My surgeon showed the x-rays and I could not believe it. Bone spurs and basically nothing left of the bone. Now I had tears of joy being able to finally walk again, garden and take my dog for a walk. Two months later I was diagnosed again with the low grade. Sure, I was up to do another round of chemo - which I did one round. I was so worried that what bone problems are next? My hip, spine or worse? I certainly don't believe the pro's outweigh the cons. In fact, I can thank of anything positive doing chemo at all. Of course, dental bills went up as all my fillings fell out. What was next - no teeth! Thank you for giving me hope on not taking the chemo. My hubby is behind my decision and understands. It is hard to explain to anyone else that has not experienced low grade. They think I am giving up. Living with the cancer I have come to terms that I just don't care what other people think what I do for my cancer. Please keep in touch. Sheila

Hi ,I too am 67 and was diagnosed only last Aug. with IIIC ovarian cancer.Since diagnosis have had chemo, surgery, and more chemo by chest port and abdominal port.I have been in remission a mere three months and am aware of the high rate of recurrance with our type of cancer.Depression comes with the territory have been on an antidepressant since diagnosis.Sorry you have been left with terrible neuropathy in hands and feet,my main side effect is fatigue.Have you looked into clinical trials as a possibility for further treatment? Cancer.gov I think is the site where they list current trials.I really don't know if and when I recurr when enough is enough,it is a very personal decision for each of us.Hope you will keep us updated and take advantage of interacting with those on site.We are all here for each other.Take care, talk anytime.

    Wishing you all the best,

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
