Hi there, thought I would drop a note. I think of you everytime I cook from my "Kicking Cancer in the Kitchen". I am trying to adhere to my new way of eating but the hubby took me out for lunch today and I ate all the wrong things. Back to it tomorrow tho', bummer. Hope you are doing well and this finds you in high spirits!0November 2013

Hi ! This is my first post so bear with me. I had 2/3 of my right lung removed in 2007. Thought they had it all, so no radiation or chemo. Then in 2009 noticed black spots showing up on my chest and upper arms. My family dr sent me straight to get ct scan. Cancer was back and stage IV. Cancer dr said 6 months without treatment and 12 mos with treatment. That was April 2009 and I am still fighting and winning, with the help of my wonderful drs and Gods blessing. I am still having chemo, taking breaks when I really get weak, then back on chemo. Dr said there may be a trial he may want to put me on the first of the year. I lost my husband, the love of my life Feb. 22 of this year to Alzheimer's so this has been a really hard year, but God has blessed me in so many ways. Some days I just want to go and be with my husband but my drs keep helping me feel better and God has a gold for me. Maybe I can help someone else on this site is his plan.0October 2013

Got my book yesterday. It is all you said it is. I will now let everyone know about it. Thank you so much for the advice. The recipes look great! And what great stories!
How is this new chemo for you? Any pain with the anastrozole? I hear it can cause joint and muscle pain. I hope this finds you in good spirits. Please feel free to vent anytime0October 2013 -

Welcome to the site. I think that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need to sound off or vent from anger. We are all here to listen and help, if we can, because at some point and time in each of our lives we have been in your situation. Please don't be afraid to ask questions either. No question on this site is silly or dumb. We all have questions we would like other opinions on or answers to. There are so many nice people here that it has helped me get through my fears I had when I was DX'd with DCIS. Good luck in the future.0September 2013
