What are you so sad and frustrated about? I hope things are going well with your treatments? Grandkids getting to you? They can do that sometimes. I have 3 that every time they come over they fight. But kids will be kids I guess. Haven't heard from you in a while I really hope everything is ok with you and your family. Things have been kind of slow for me. Somehow I threw my hip out after being laid up for 3 months with bursitis and now the chiropractor is trying to get it stable. We are going to have a quiet Thanksgiving this year. This will be the first holiday without any of my kids around so I am sort of sad. We were going to go over to my son and his girlfriends house, but she threw a tizzy fit so I told my son to forget it. My other son and grandchildren always spend Thanksgiving with her mother who is in a rest home. Well that is all the news from this end how about some news from your end?0November 2014

Hi Alison. Haven't heard from you in a while. How are you doing? Make the move yet? Hope you had a very Merry Christmas with your grandkids and daughter. I missed mine, but that's life when they live are living the military life. I had a pretty good Christmas. My youngest son came over Christmas day and made home made rolls for us and my grandchildren that live here came over Christmas Eve. They were so tired that it was hard to deal with all the crying. So mom and dad got them in their jammies and took them home to put them to bed. They stepped on my poor little dog a couple of times so she bit them. Didn't break the skin, but I couldn't be mad at her because the kids were not watching what they were doing. Poor little Julie was so scared she wouldn't let me pick her up. She kept backing away from me. Thought she was in trouble. Pretty noisy evening all in all. But it was good to see them.0December 2013

Hey my friend. Have you gotten your results back on the stomach yet? Just curious. They didn't do that with me so consequently I didn't have enough fat to make boobs worth anything. Then I started losing weight which I need to do anyway and lost some of the flap fat. So good thing I had implants put in because I still plan on going on with losing this weight. Being overweight and a diabetic is what caused my BC I am sure of that. Read where that can happen and since it doesn't run in the family I figure that's what did it. So far I have lost 40 lbs, however, put about 10 back on. Thank you smores blizzards. :-)0July 2013

Welcome Katy. I had the tram flap surgery after my double mastectomy and it did not turn out good for me. Not enough fat to make full complete breasts. So I am having silicone implants put in on the 24th of this month. I can't wait. If I had it to do all over again, I would chose immediate silicone implants and foregone the other two surgeries I had to have. I was stage 0 with localized DCIS, but the stupid radiologist who read my mammogram missed a spot and the surgeon was quite concerned so he ordered an MRI of both breasts and they found two clusters in the left breast that did not show up on the mammogram or the ultra sound. In fact, I think the ultra sound technician did know what she was doing because she couldn't even find the spots in the right breast. We don't have very good care here in this small town. Anyway, because of the MRI results I chose to have a double mastectomy because I didn't want to take the chance of the cancer coming back. Thus my decision. They have improved on the silicone implants over the years. The doctor showed one to me and explained how they are now made with a gel instead of liquid silicone so if you spring a leak all it does is glob up right at the point of exit and does not go into your system. So whatever decision you make for yourself, good luck and I hope all turns out well for you. Don't be afraid to ask questions on this site because someone has been there and done that so no question is silly or dumb. And welcome.0June 2013
