Hi my husband also has small cell lung cancer. He participated in a study for long term smokers so that's how his was found. We were lucky. He had a R lower lobectomy in 12/2013. No treatment was recommended at the time since they felt they got it all. It came back in the same lung in 9 mos. He had chemo and radiation at the same time in Spring 2015. It was brutal. The nausea, and chemo brain were the worst for my husband. He ended up inpatient for 2 wks. They opted not to do the whole brain radiation since my husband has had a stroke and the treatment might cause more memory issues for him or even dementia. I understand what you mean about the hair. My husband was so vain about his hair and had to have it looking just so. He used more hair spray than any 3 women I know. lol. He was very upset when it fell out along with his mustache. His hair came back in beautifully but darker with a few waves in the back. His mustache looks the same as it did before. He looks great. He still has some fatigue but he also sits around a lot.
