denise, That would probably be a colposcopy. Endometrial/uterine cancer is fairly slow-growing. And they will not be able to tell you a lot until after your hysterectomy. Try not to worry. In my case, I had been having systems that no one caught for over a year...continuous bleeding, pressure in my abdominal area and lower back, etc. All were explained away. Since it was much easier than hearing"CANCER", I accepted the reasoning. By the time they took me seriously, I had started intense bleeding. By then, it had been over a year. I had a radical hysterectomy, external and internal radiation and no chemo. What I am trying to say is try to take one step at a time and do not let your mind make this monster uglier or meaner than he really is. I hope your journey is an easy one,,,am praying.
