Thank you for your reply to my question Buffcody! It really lifted my husband's spirit. Very encouraging. I wrote a longer reply on the post itself. I'm new to this, so only discovered I can write to you specifically here, just now. Thanks again. I'm sure we'll have lots of questions going forward, so appreciate the help!0October 2021

This is even better as PubMed is THE place to go.....We have no downside here NOT to try this with or without chemo.....We go into ketosis and the cells use Ketones and not Glucose to fuel the cells. Normal cells change over easily but cancer cells do NOT....B0February 2016 -

I wanted to thank you for the post! I love this site for that reason, to have others that can understand how I feel. I have certainly found that humor is the best way for me to handle this, but then again, humor has always been my coping mechanism! I can find humor in all aspects of my journey, from my doctors, nurses, church, friends, and most definitely my family! I was raised on the belief that God has got me covered, so no need to worry about me, I do worry about those around me. I have always been the "one" in my family. If they needed a good laugh, they come to me to see what's going on in my world. It's not always easy to find my funny, and it seems to be getting harder and harder to find, but I dig deep and eventually my funny will show it's smiling face! As far as writing, it's something I've always loved to do. I can express myself through words on paper much easier than saying them. I have been very blessed by teachers in school who always fueled that passion and taught me how to let my words flow. I wish my children had the same passion, luckily, they do love to read books, and I make them write letters still. We live in a fast paced world and before long, I fear, our children won't even know how to address a letter, no less write one! You are in my prayers and thoughts, as well as everyone else on this site and not on here. I have yet to meet a single person that cancer has not affected. We can all use a little more prayer!0May 2014

Well, you've had some adventure in your cancer journey. It sounds like you have a good attitude and have persevered through it all. Keep up the good work, but wear your sunscreen when you're out and about. Take care.0May 2014

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Congratulations on becoming a member of the "survivor club". Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.
https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/skin-cancer
There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
